1969 Chevy C-10 Short Bed "Black Mamba" Show Truck Five Best In Show Awards (2001-2003) +++++ NO RESERVE AUCTION +++++ Beautiful High Dollar Custom, Built to Run Born 2001 6,550 total miles driven! No expense spared to build this solid performing and Drop Dead Gorgeous Truck. This truck was shown for several years, than retired. Than driven off and on for several years as a weekender. Than parked and stored for several years. This year the truck was brought back to the road, and now offered for sale. The Body: 69 Chevy, frame off, custom show tuck, built to run. Black enamel painted body, engine bay, bed, cab. inside doors etc. Color sanded and polished to a Micro Show Finish (done July 2011) Body off, frame cleaned, primed, painted prior to assembly in 2001. Lowered with drop spindles and new springs. 90's smooth Chevy step side bed with custom step plates, bed enamel inside as well. The bed is installed perfect and looks better than factory, mounting is factory quality. Cowl hood, one piece steel, braced, finished, outstanding. Door vent wing windows removed, has power windows. Chrome front bumper, blacked out grill as shown. Shaved rear end and tail gate with Escalade type lights. Trick El Camino door pulls, reversed and flipped with 58 Impala finger guards. (the handle buttons are frozen in place, so nice). The Cab: Blacked out painted in enamel as the outside. Smooth dash, with narrowed dash pad. Auto Meter gauges, in a straight line, clean all matched. Speedometer, Tachometer (new), Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Volts, Fuel, all working. Carbon fiber style steering wheel with tilt. Hurst ratchet shifter. Power seats (both), recovered. Multi function seats including wings. All matching seat, door panels, kicks, head liner and rug panels. Black floor rug. No radio or air conditioning, (easy ac install if needed). Interior is very well done and comfortable, seat belts, storage behind seats, The Engine and Trans: Chevy GM 350 cu/in engine with Turbo 400 Transmission. Engine built with stage one cam and gear drives, holly 600, headers est. 300 BHP. Headman coated headers. (yes, I have scraped then a couple of times), Custom side out exhaust, sounds real strong, but not crazy loud by design. Turbo 400 built with stock stall so you can drive it. Clean black enamel painted engine bay. Alum. valve covers and air cleaner housing to match step side plates. Power steering, power disc brakes front. Highway gears, 10 bolt, no limited slip. The Cooling System: Aluminum Performance Radiator. Automatic electric cooling fan. Transmission oil Cooler. The engine temp. is stable at about 204 degrees F., on a 95 degree F. day, in gear, at idle, in traffic. The temp. will stay stable for extended periods of time. While cruising the engine temp is about 185 degrees F. The cooling was built to perform in 120 degree ambient temperature. . Other Stuff: Alarm with ignition disable with loud waring whistle. Electric radiator fan. Power windows. Hidden vehicle entry. Bed roller cover, fits, works smooth. Bed rubber full floor mat. Center Line Custom Wheels New Tires (Aug 2011). OEM gas tank is between rear rails, filler in bed floor under a GM gas door. Hidden trailer hitch with trailer brake, never used. Brakes pads and brake shoes are aprox. 90%, rotors and drums like new. Truck runs and drives excellant, pulls hard, great steering and brakes, solid performer, great road rod.
