Up for auction:A Restored, one owner, 1979 Pontiac Trans Am with the WS6. The car was orderd a hard top WS6 with white exterior, with the black vinyl interior. This is a rare color combination. The WS6 was a Special Performance Package. The package consisted of a larger diameter sway bar, 4 Wheel Power disk breaks, tighter steering box gear ratio, GR-70-15 Goodyear tires and also the 15x8 snowflake wheels. the car also has PB, PS, AC, PW, PL, Rear window defogger, and power trunk. The paint is in excellent condition and the decals are all in the correct position with the exception of the decal on the rear spoiler. It was not positioned correctly but still looks fine. An easy fix if needed. The car retains 90% of the original interior. It is in exceptionally good shape. New carpet has been installed. Instrument cluster has been completely restored including new machine bezel. The interior of the car is in "show" condition with only the steering wheel showing some wear on the top. Drive train and suspension was disassembled and completely rebuilt. The car also retains it's original 403 Block and heads that has been completely rebuilt and slightly modified. Some modifications to the engine include: New 9.5:1 compression pistons from the stock 8.1:1. Rods were polished and shot pinged, ARP rod bolts. Crank was turned 10/10. Slightly larger CompCam. Duration is Intake 275, Exhaust is 280. Lift is 475 Intake, 500 Exhaust. Other modifications were Edelbrock aluminum intake and Headman Headers. The rotating assembly was balanced. List of new engine parts include: Cloyes street true roller timing chain Pushrods, Rocker arms and pedestals. HEI distributor Melling Oil pump Clevite bearings Felpro gaskets Rhoads lifters The heads have had a 3 angle valve job, New valve guides, new springs and retainers. The original Quadrajet was rebuilt. The exhaust is new duel 2-1/2 inch with x pipe, thrush mufflers and custom original style 2-1/2 stainless steel tips. The Engine puts out 328-hp Original 350 turbo trans. was rebuilt All new frontend. new front springs, and rebuilt steering box. All accessories on the engine are new, including all new AC system that has been converted to 134a. Four wheel disk breaks are new with Baer slotted and cross drilled rotors. The original wheels were sent off and re-machined painted and cleared. Top off with new centers and lugs. Tires are 255-60-15 BF Goodrich T/A radials. All seals and rubber has been replaced. New windshield. The few things I did not get to: Power window motors are slow and need to be replaced. The cruse control was missing when i got the car and never got around to finding all the parts to get it working. This is a solid and tight car that Looks, runs and drives like new. No rattles, squeaks or other unwanted noises. I have put about 450 miles on it since it's completion approximately a year ago. It turns heads every time it's on on the road.
