Vehicle Detail

Hello, Own a small piece of Toyota history: 1981 Toyota Pickup Hilux Diesel: - 120,000 Original miles - No rust at all, few small dings and a few rock chips, very minimal - The engine bay has never been power washed, clean it up yourself to look like new - Dual battery diesel - Mechanically the truck is in perfect working order, serviced regularily and to the toyota manual book. New timing belt, new glow plugs, alway's maintained to run perfectly, clean and clear oil on the dipstick alway's - Get in and go anywhere in the country condition - Everything works like new, shifts perfectly smooth, clutch works like new, all lights, blinkers, brake lights and heat all work as they should - hits bumps without a chatter, very smooth like new - The small booklet in the pictures has a list of all service performed at intervals - the larger spiral notebook has every tank of diesel listed with MPG - last tank of gas I got darn near 35 miles per gallon going 65-70 on the Interstate, gets a bit less running around in the city and climbing hills - No A/C, No power steering - New tires - Truck bed is rust free - Underbody is rust free with absolutely no leaks of any kind - Interior is just about perfect with no dash cracks, small rip in the seat bottom on the drivers side, passenger seat is perfect - Very Very rare truck in this condition with low miles Little history: 1981-1983-2.2 L Diesel I4, 62 hp (46 kW) at 4200 rpm and 93 ft·lbf (126 N·m) of torque "The 2.2-liter, L-series diesel utilizes an overhead camshaft and a Bosch-Nippondenso fuel-injection system," the magazine reported. "It operates at a 21.5-to-1 compression ratio, developing a reasonable 62 hp at 4,200 rpm and 93 pound-feet of torque at 2,400 rpm. The five-speed overdrive manual transmission is geared short on the low end to obtain maximum pull from the torquey diesel engine. "Toyota's advances in diesel technology have eliminated, or at least minimized, many of the objections most of us have against diesels. For one thing, the harsh clacketing sound of most diesel engines has been virtually eliminated in the SR5 by a fabric-reinforced-rubber timing belt and increased sound insulation…. Thank you for looking, Extremely fun truck, will last a lifetime !!! -
