Body Modifications to date: •Engine bay closure panels •Core-Support closure panel •Hood spears removed and smoothed out (similar to Boyd Coddington car) •Corvette door handles installed •Side port exhaust exits in quarters •Drip rails were shaved off and smoothed up •Forward part of door frame was rounded to give the car a more modern look •Side trim and trim holes were removed for cleaner look •Rear deck lid lock and trim removed •Door gaps fit tight and even •Trunk gap is also tight and even fitting Mechanical: The driveline, engine, transmission, and rear end were taken out of a 2006 Corvette test car. The car had only 200 miles when the owner bought it for around $20,000 directly from GM in Detroit, MI. Other parts donated from the Corvette test car were the front and rear suspension, and new chrome Corvette wheels. Consequently, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air will be a very dependable driver and could be serviced mechanically at any GM Dealership. Complete custom chassis hand built to fit the ’06 Corvette Driveline. Tires Front: BF Goodrich G-Force T/A 245/45ZR 16 Tires Rear: BF Goodrich G-Force T/A 285/35ZR 19 Interior: The dash has been completely customized with many areas smoothed out to go along with the rest of the interior design. The dash has been molded to fit the original ‘57 Chevy dash cluster, which is included with the car. (See parts photos.) Comes with 30th Anniversary Camaro Bucket Seats front and rear. Some of the interior design and layout work has been done. The interior is ready to begin interior trim panel fabrication. The interior floor and metal work is also all complete.
