Vehicle Detail

We have a true 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport with a CLEAR North Carolina title and all matching numbers. We bought this car with intentions of restoring it, but having 3 teenagers, we just don't have the time or money. This is a COMPLETE CAR, but DOES HAVE A LOT OF RUST (for info on something specific please email, but there are too many parts to list and everyone wants to know about something different). It does still have all windows, bumpers, gauges, lights, seats, etc, and does come with a spare hood and roof as well. Although the spoiler says Z28 on it, this is NOT a Z28 car. The previous owner had to replace the spoiler, and he used one off of a Z28 car. This is a R/S=Rally Sport. The car was parked many years ago, and was running at that time, but has been sitting since then. The motor was NOT locked up the last time we checked it about a year ago, but we have not tried to run it. When we moved it to a different location in the yard, we popped the clutch and the motor did turn. I would call this car borderline restorable or a great parts car. From the factory it came with a 307 engine & a 3 speed, but the previous owner changed it over to a 300+ horsepower 350 engine with a Muncie 4 speed transmission. We bought this car from a man nearby approximately 1.5 years ago who owned it most of the car's life and he is the one who swapped the motor and transmission. He drove it to the back of his yard about 20 years ago and parked it under pine trees and let it sit. He was going to restore it back but just lost interest, so it sat there until we picked it up. When we got it home, we parked it on the concrete, got rid of the pine straw that had built up and opened everything up to air it out and keep any more damage from being done. We have tried to be as honest as we can about the condition of this car. We make no guarantees of any kind with this car, but we are glad to answer any questions you may have. We just don't want to see it completely rot away so it is time for it to go to a new home. If you have any questions, or would like to know if something specific is salvageable or not, please don't hesitate to email and we will get back with you as quickly as possible. Buyer is responsible for pick up of vehicle, but we can give you the number to a towing service that may be interested in hauling if needed, but that will be between buyer and tow company. We are not responsible for transport of vehicle and those fees are not included. Thanks for looking. On Aug-26-11 at 19:25:25 PDT, seller added the following information: We have had a question about the numbers.. Yes the motor and transmission have been changed, but it is NOT a clone, it is a true 71 Camaro Rally Sport by VIN/title.On Aug-26-11 at 19:43:31 PDT, seller added the following information: would like to see someone put this car back together- I bought this car because I knew how hard it was to find a 300 horse 350- The clutch pedal assy to make an early 70's camaro a 4 speed car and the transmission along with it. The car was an origanl 307 3 spd according to previous owner and came with pretty stout gear in rear diff. I had dreams of either putting this car back together or finding a solid car to put this running gear into which ever was best deal. 2 - 16 year old girls and a 14 year old son have to come first- don't have to sell the car I just hate seeing it go down hill any farther. On Aug-28-11 at 07:34:54 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: HURRICANE IRENE DID SHATTER THE BACK WINDSHIELD OUT OF THIS CAR. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BIDDED AND WOULD LIKE TO RETRACT YOUR BID WE COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!!!
