This Nissan is not running. It has a problem with the electric system. I just paid $700 to a professional mechanic. He went thru the entire truck and found nothing wrong with it. That is with the exception of a bad ground somewhere. The truck ran well after that. It got 21 mpg just before it quit again. This time my wife refused to let me get it fixed. A shame since the day before, I paid another $100 to get the steering aligned and front tires rotated. Our family truck needs a new home. My father bought this truck new in 1987. It has the original leather Nissan key tag. It was driven by my father, and then by me for the last 7 years. The truck has over 350,000 miles. The speedometer striped a gear many years ago. I recently replaced the gauge cluster. So the speedometer, odometer are now working but not showing the actual milage. Over the years the truck has had the timing belt changed several times. It is now due for another change. It has had one distributer changed and the rear axel seals. A couple of water pumps and a few mufflers, and shocks were changed over the years. A new muffler was put on last year. The front tires are 2 years old and have half the tread remaining. The back tires are in need of changing since they are for trailer use. (they are in good shape however) There is an electronic brake controller hooked up, and a heavy duty bumper and integrated trailer hitch. The frame has a little surface rust but seems to be in excellent condition. This truck would be worth the time to fix up. If I had the time, I would myself. This is the first model year of the D21 pick ups. Maybe that makes it a potential collectors edition? Included with the truck is the factory wiring diagram, an extra computer, and a clear title.
