You are bidding on a 1941 Buick special businessmans sedanette. I was told it was 1 of 1500 made with no back seat and the dual carb intake. The car is all original except the motor, which is a 248 straight eight from a 1947 buick. The motor put in has been rebuilt and runs great with a lot of power. Right now the motor has a single two barrel but the auction comes with the original two 2bbl intake with the right carbs and linkage, which is very hard to find these days. The transmission is an original three speed, shifts very smooth and the clutch is new with firm pressure plate. The rear end is still original with the torque tube and three link. All the brakes are rebuilt and stops like a dream. All the glass is in great shape with no cracks. The body is in very good shape with very minimal rust. It was parked in arizona for most of its life, no more paint but the metal is still all there. the only rust on the car is right infront of the passenger rear wheel, some pin holes on the decklid and the front floors have some large holes, all very easily fixed. The trim is in almost perfect condition still shines like its new. the head light rings have a dent. and the turn signals the top piece broke off but we still have both in the glove box. the only piece of trim missing is the passenger side rocker. The lenses are no longer there but you can get pretty much everything you will ever need from bobsautomobilia.com The interior will need to be redone, but all the important pieces are there. all the gauges are still there, not working right now. All the windshield wiper parts and antenna are all still there. The wiring is all shot and will need to be redone. All the original 16 inch smoothie wheels are there with all the beauty rings and hubcaps still in great condition. The tires will need to be replaced.
