Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE CLEAN TITLENEW CLUTCHJust purchased a Lemans Blue E39 M5, so my 2001 Black M5 is for sale. I purchased this car in 2009 from insurance auction in Dallas with 49,000 miles as a run and drive flood vehicle. I flew from Mississippi, had all the fluids changed there and drove the car back. There was absolutely no sign of water damage. Original owner is a plastic surgeon in Dallas. He said the car turned off while driving during a heavy storm. Car was taken to Classic BMW and declared a total loss. He purchased a new E60 M5. This is what he told me. Classic BMW will not talk to me about this car. I don't know why. That's the history and the extent of flood damage. I am the second owner of this car.Title has been washed, it is clean and clear. Car was inspected by Mississippi DMV and they issued a CLEAN title.Garage kept, only hand washed, never used automatic car washes, paint shines like new, no swirl marks. Waxed monthly. I am a car collector and own over 40 cars. I really hate to sell this car, but have no room left in my warehouse. It's too hot leave this car outside under a cover. For this reason, I have decided to sell it. I have over $20K invested in this car, my loss is your gain. Watch my other auctions, I will be listing two VW W12 Phaeton's and maybe a Brabus SL55 K8. Buy this car with confidence. I have the BMW GT1 computer and have turned off the daytime running lights, automatic door locking, and easy access feature. I will be happy to change these settings to buyer's preferences. No expense spared. Never driven hard or abused. I have done most of the repairs myself and still have most receipts for all parts purchased. No dead pixels in instrument cluster. Only have one key. Complete owners manual and no missing tools from trunk tool kit.Pirelli Rosso tires have over 60% treadwear left.Has Rear M-Audio (2) subwoofers. MKIII Navigation has be updated to lastest software. Current mileage is at approx. 56,000 miles. In the last 6,000 miles / two years I have replaced many parts such as: -Belts and Idler pulleys -Engine, Transmission, and Differential Oil -Fuel, Air, Oil, and Cabin Filters -Front and Rear brake pads -Parking brake shoes -L & R Front Thrust Arms -L & R Front Lower Control Arms -L & R Front Sway bar links -Rear sway bar links -Rear sway bar brackets -4- Wheel Alignment done after all suspension work was completed -Expansion Bottle -Thermostat -Oil separator hoses -Power steering high pressure hose -Power steering hose from bottle to pump -Power steering return hose from oil cooler to bottle Less than 800 miles on the following parts: -Brake Fluid flush -New OEM LUK/SACHS clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bearing-Rear main seal-All shifter linkages/rods and bushings (no annoying slack in shifter)-Slave cylinder-Transmission mounts-Driveshaft Guibo Joint -Spark plugs-Oil and filter changed using Castrol 10W-60. The only oil I use in my BMW M cars. These are all common repairs/maintainence items that the E39 M5 requires around this mileage. Car is basically refurbished. You can verify on M5board.com. I am a member on that site under username 'hyder'. You can find me on there and ask any questions you may have or through Ebay. Clutch Kit was purchased from Autozone. You get an original, made in Germany Sachs/Luk clutch kit with lifetime warranty. It is just repackaged in a Duralast box. It is cheaper to buy the kit from other places or on ebay, but the lifetime warranty is worth the additional cost. So, if the clutch ever goes bad again, all you have to pay is labor. I have not driven the car with full throttle or exceed 3,000 rpm with the new clutch. It is advised to have 1200 random shifts and drive about 1000 miles to allow the clutch to seat properly. This shows how gentle this car has been driven.Modifications: -Tinted windows (will remove this for buyer if tint not desired) -Hella Smoked Celis taillights I ordered from Germany -OEM grilles painted -Original BMW Aluminum pedals -AC Schnitzer roof spoiler Flaws: I hate to have original paintwork repainted, so I never bothered to fix these. -Front bumper has some curb damage-Dent behind front right grille, barely noticeable (see pics)-Some light scratches on hood, looks worse in picture than real life (see pics)-Driver seat shows some wearBuyer responsible for shipping. Selling AS-IS, no warranty. I can get the car inspected at local BMW dealer at buyer's expense.Additional pics available upon request. Please send a message if any questions. Thanks and good luck bidding on this beast. I have tried my best to describe this vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible. I have no intention to mislead or lie about anything. Please remember this is a ten year old used car.
