Here's rare 1978 pinto cruising wagon. I bought this car sept-2010 with intent to restore. I've done alot of the easy work, but can't afford finish. Here's the things I've done. I got the car running, 2.8 (171-ci) cap, rotor, plugs, wires, top half gasket set, rebuilt carb. then found out tranny was bad. Brought the car to to a great tranny shop. 750.00 later she moved under her own power. I put good gas in and found the guy that I bought it from drained all the gas by drilling the gas tank, so I kind of fixed it with gas tank repair puddy. but It still leaks from the sending unit seal. Have not taken it down to find out for sure. can only put in half tank then she leeks. Then alingment shop, new front end parts, rear shackles 3 in. 700.00. It needed exhaust, so I had duals put on, glass packs, that turn out in front of rear tires 200.00. It had rusty steel wheels and dryrotted tires. So we went to the store looking for wheels. Now she has 15" mustang hurricane rims, tires have 500 mi. only driven locally. back and forth to work to the service center where I work. Ive had the oil changed twice in 500 mi. Then I took her to the body shop, where I took out the carpet, seats. the shop cut out the rust in driver and pass. floors. Made our own floor pans. driver had a 1 foot sq. hole. pass had 6" sq hole. and two small holes behind the seat bolt holes. In March I bought new carpet (BL) 140.00. Also bought new racing seats (RD) 350.00. It didn't have a radio or bezel. IT DOES NOW. kenwood w/remote cd +++ A friend installed the sterio and speakers in for me. They are used... but sounds ok. The car comes with extra parts- original bucket seats. arm rests, ugly steal wheels, misc parts. Interior was missing 1 port hole trim ring. I found 2 (BK) 1 cracked w/ 1 glass. The body shop did some small bodywork and three stages of buffing to shine her up. Single stage red ??? Has rust, needs dr rear quarter. Bodyshop says costs to much to fix. So I drive it the way it is. Still cool car. Needs door panels, and interior cruising panels (easy fix). runs and drives good. Wife doesn't ride in it "ITS TO LOUD". Any questions, please ask. Ron
