Up for bid is a recently restored T-Bird that originally came from California. I bought it from an online auction, Miedema in Grand Rapids, last fall and made it a winter project. The car was disassembled and had some primer on it. I was told the original owner ran out of steam and decided to sell it. The body has absolutely no rust. It had a small crease in the right door bottom. All the gaps were aligned and a little filler applied. The body was then primed with 2K, blocked and base coat/clear coat in Wilmington White was shot. It was then blocked, sanded and polished. It looks good. The glass and trim are presentable. I had the front facebar rechromed and the rear looks good. New weatherstrips were installed, but needs the little ones that finish the job (please look at the pictures). All the lights, turn signals, etc. work. The running gear works great. The motor runs good. The transmission shifts fine and the brakes will stop on a dime. The tires are very good, but do not match. The air conditioner is all there and works, but there is a leak somewhere and won't charge. Under the hood will need some attention. There is a small exhaust leak coming from the left manifold. I believe it is from the gasket. It has a Holley carb and a manual choke. It will need a windshield washer pump and two horns. The interior was gone through and looks great. The front seats were stripped with new buns and seat covers installed. The back seats, door panels, and console were cleaned and re-dyed. The door panels are new and the dash was detailed. The headliner was installed by the previous owner and has wrinkles that may need to be steamed out.I put in new carpet, door bottoms and floor mats. The clock and fuel gauge do not work. The heater and air conditioner controls will need some attention. The fan comes on, but the controls will not respond. I believe it is in the vacuum lines. The trunk has a new kit installed and it looks great. It does not have a spare tire or jack. I have the original radio and the original back shelf with no speaker slots and some extra trim and parts that will go with the car. I have the Ford Manual on a computer disc, which will also go with the car. We've driven this car on a couple of trips , it goes down the road great and we recieved alot of compliments!
