1997 Kia Sportage in Great Shape but Needs a Little Help!! The good: 154000 miles, the cyclinder head and timing belt were replaced at 130000 miles, tires and brakes were replaced 12000 miles ago, good body, good interior, good gas mileage, very strong runner. The bad: The turn signals shorted out over one year ago and were rewired, it needs a new alternator and runs fine with a new alternator but there is a short somewhere and the battery drains. I pulled the alternator off to sell the car. Buy it and part it out or throw on a new alternator and figure out the short and you'll have a fun reliable SUV.
