This 1969 Chevelle SS 468 Big Block Resto-Mod is the pinnacle of a true American Muscle Car. Hiding under the hood is a fully rebuilt and re-worked 468 cubic inch Chevy V8 Big Block with only 253 miles since completion. The motor has been professionally rebuilt and upgraded in a number of ways. During the motor build a Lunati Voodoo Cam and all top of the line brand new inner components were added. On top sits an Edelbrock Torker 2-R intake manifold and an Edelbrock 1812 Thunder Series 800CFM Carburetor. The electrical system was upgraded with an Accel Super Coil, MSD ignition, MSD distributor and racing plug wires, single wire chromed alternator, etc. Following the build, the motor tested and ranked at roughly 600HP at the rear wheels. The engine is coupled to a Turbo 400 racing setup automatic transmission that has been finely tuned to chirp the wheels with each gear change. The brakes were upgraded to front disc brakes with a proportioning valve. Also a line-lock feature was added; which, when pressed, focuses all brake pressure on the front tires and releases the rear for fun at the stop light. The steering in the car was upgraded to a high flow power steering system. The rear is a 3.73 posi quick change racing axle by GEIS, mounted on a ladder bar suspension. This true road warrior is not only well built mechanically, but is also 100% rust free. The car was ground down to bare metal before being painted in a three stage professional paint job, which still glistens in the sun. It is easy to see that this car is laser straight, and with one tap on the quarter panels, you can tell instantly that the main body of this street / strip beast is all metal and zero filler. The front clip was changed over to an all fiberglass setup with a full display hood, to lighten the car. This car draws everyone’s eyes and makes any Muscle car lover smile, as they hear the rumble from such a powerful engine.
