Up for auction is this 1926 fordoor. I bought it from a man who had owned it since 1996. He said he drove it once & parked it in his garage & had not even cranked it since. He house cought fire back at the first of June this year & as you can see did some fire damage to the car. It started burning from the top & burnt up the top & interior & burnt some of the paint off of it, All the glass is busted. I got the car home, put some gas & a battery in it & it started right up. I put the car on jack stands & ran it through all the gears & all works fine. The only wiring it burt up was at the rear tail light. all the other wiring is in new condition. I started to cut this car up & just use the running gear, but after going over it realized the car has no rust on it at all except where the paint had been burnt off & all that is is light surface rust. The car has been covered since the fire happend. I could not find where any sheet metal has ever been repaired at all. The body, doors, fenders, running boards, splash aprons & hood has no dents or rust in them at all. The doors has no rust at all, even in the bottom of them. The radiator does not leak water at all. This was a very nice car before the fire. The man I bought it from knew nothing about T's. This would be a great car for some one to restore or buy it & sell the body & have a great running chassis for a depot hack or speedster. The man said when he bought it the man told him that he had just restored it & had built the motor & trans, but I have no way to know if that is true or not. The car runs great with no knocks or no smoking at all. It will need a new wood kit in it. I have set a small reserve on this car & have it for sale locally, so the auction could end early.
