Note: This is a relist. On the last day of my listing, the alternator started acting up. I didn't want to sell it this way, so I pulled the listing. I just had it replaced with a new one. It's now ready to go! It's the only trouble that I ever had with this car.For sale is my 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville. I have owned the car since 2004 having purchased it with 88000 on the odometer. It now has a shade under 146000. It has been a great car, but I have downsized to a smaller vehicle. I have never had any major problems with it. The only thing that I have had to replace were the brakes and tires, which I did last summer. It has a nice set of Kumho tires on it with plenty of tread. The interior is leather with no rips, but some color wear on the front seats, which is to be expected in a car of this vintage. In my opinion it does not detract from the appearance. All of the accessories work fine. AM/FM cassette, with column control, power windows and door locks, climate control, cruise control, power seats, rear window de-icer, tilt wheel, anti-lock brakes, digital dash, intermittent wipers. Lots of "bells and whistles." It runs and shifts perfectly. I usually get around 21 mpg. No engine smoke or noises. Being a 1996 it does have some small issues. A hit and run driver backed into my left front fender and left a small dent, also got the corner of the hood. I never got it repaired, because it didn't bother me and I considered it minor. There is no rust through, but there is small rust and cracking of the paint by the gas cap door. There is peeling on the clear coat on the aluminum rims. Check the pictures to see these items. There is a small spot on the exhaust near the mufflers that has rusted through making it rumble a bit. Not loud, in fact to me, it sounds good. One front brake rotor appears to be warped. You can feel it when you apply the breaks. The check engine light is on and has been for the last four years. Probably some emission thing. It did not effect the performance so I have ignored it. It has a couple of "service" codes that pop on, but they are there to get you into the dealership and get your money. Again, hasn't been a problem. Now the disclaimer: You are bidding on the car to buy it, not to come look at it and change your mind. It is selling at NO Reserve, with a low starting bid, just to protect me a little. It is a used car and there is no guaranty whatsoever. I have tried to describe it to the best of my ability, but remember, it's a used car and it's 15 years old. Don't expect it to be perfect. It's nice, but not perfect. There are no returns. Please make sure it's ok with your wife, husband, father, mother, etc. to buy it. Make sure you have the money to pay for it.
