Vehicle Detail
Greetings shoppers! Up for grabs is a 1972 Chevy Station Wagon. So much to list, we'll start with the negatives first. Body has some rust, not alot and not too bad. Some on the bottoms of the doors, left rear quarter, and a little on the bottom of the tailgate. Speedo doesn't work, just needs a new gear at the output shaft of the trans (no biggie). Ok, onto the good stuff. Frame is solid! The car has an awesome 350 engine. 4 bolt main block, Corvette crank and rod set bought from GM, TRW forged dished pistons, World heads w/202 intake valves and 160 exhaust with screw in push rod guides. Running the valve train is a Lunati 515/515 camshaft, Lunati lifters, and Crane gold 1.6 roller rockers. Double roller timing chain of course, an 8 qt moroso oil pan, and brushed aluminum timing cover. Up top is a Weiand chrome mini charger which is topped off with a Holley 750 street avenger carb and custom K&N filter. Aluminum pulleys keep the front of the engine lookin good along with a chrome 1 wire 100 amp alternator, power steering, and a chrome water pump. Keeping it all cool is an aluminum radiator with fitted shroud, dual electric fans wired with dual relays and circuit breakers. The fuel pump is a mechanical high volume Edelbrock (chrome) with a pressure regulator and braided lines. Lots of little goodies here and there. This engine starts everyday with just a couple of pumps of the throttle. The carb has an electric choke which I have never opted to hook up. (with a 750, ya really don't need it). The trans is a Turbo 350 built by Trans Tech. It sports a chrome pan, shifts GREAT and has never given me a minutes trouble. Running it is a B&M Mega shifter which fits the console perfectly. The drive shaft I had made to fit this car with heavy duty U-Joints and a drive shaft loop. The rear is a Moser built 9" with 410 gears. Harwood supplied the 4" outlaw hood, which uses the stock hinges with lightened springs and the stock hood latch. On the inside I used a Covan Classics dash over lay with all Auto Meter 2 and 5/8 gauges, and an Auto Meter speedo. The boost gauge is B&M. An Auto Meter fuel pressure gauge is mounted out by the hood, but not on the hood. The switch panel on the console runs parking lights, headlights, cooling fan, msd box, and dome light. The interior is black with bucket seats. Door panels and seats all match. A 4 point roll bar, and roll bar padding are in there as well. I almost forgot (duh) MSD 6AL box, and MSD distributor. Ok, onward. A 16 gallon fuel cell is in the reinforced well and the stock gas tank was removed. So to fill it you just lower the power rear window. The fuel cell has a sending unit, so the auto meter fuel gauge reads correctly. American racing wheels keep it going down the road, front tires are brand new and rears still have ALOT of life. What else? Moroso solid motor mounts, Flowmaster exhaust, Hooker headers, Moroso oil pump, nice stereo and speakers. Blue neon under car and in back area. NOS floor mats in the front. Carpet nice. Oh, could really use a dash pad. Starting to crack and droop. Still has drum brakes all around and stops GREAT! Basically, it is an AWESOME car, and you won't see another like it i'm sure. I'll be taking alot more pics this weekend so drop me a line and i'll send. Serious inquiries only. Hate to sell but time to move on. Car does have a clear title. This car is tagged and driven pretty regularly. You can arrange your own transportation for the car if you buy it, or pick it up. It is in New Market Md. Ask any questions you like. Thanks for reading, GOOD LUCK, AND happy bidding! Jim
