I am Selling My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4wd. This will be a no reserve auction. Jeep will go to the highest bidder. The reason for such an auction is the fact that the 4.7L V8 engine in this Jeep started to make a some what of loud noise, what seems to be a top end knock. It quiets down at times when I hit the gas at times it does not. I have driven this jeep about 300 miles with this knock and it is not getting better or worse. I was told that it may be lifters, or the timing chain cover may need to be opened up and checked out. It does not eat oil shifts and drives good besides what I said. A/C blows cold, tires have good tread, 4x4 works perfect. Please bid based on the information that I am providing you. I did have the crazy idea of swapping the v8 to a 4.0L inline 6 which I do have from a jeep that only had 58,000 miles that I bought wrecked from a towing company and took apart. With these parts I have everything from the headliner to the leather seats, rear end, transfer case front axle, tail lights, every panel, dash board, sound system. Transmission, doors, tail gate...sunroof...also a Limited but only AWD. I mean I have it all, already parted out. I never did get to my project, one can have this all for $1200.
