Up for sale is my 1974 Pontiac GTO.First my GTO does not have the original drivetrain.It now has a 455 H.O.,year and make of donor car not known.From what i was told it is bored.40 over,Has an oversized cam(lift and duration not known),it has a 650 Holley 4 barrel carb.It has a Muncie 4 speed with a Hearst shifter.The seats were recently recovered and they are so close to original that you cannot tell the difference,I was very proud of the work.The car is an original GTO which I have P.H.S. documents that I will supply with the sale.I drive the car regularly,as that is what I bought the car to do.I take it to cruise-ins and when driving around town I get plenty of looks and comments.It really turns heads.There are problems with the GTO that I will now list:1-2nd gear will need to be replaced.I shift from 1st to 3rd to keep from scraping the gears.This was diagnosed at a prominent local transmission shop.2-After the car gets hot,sometimes it will not restart,the alternator and battery have been checked and are in good shape.I bought a heat shield for the solenoid,but have not put it on yet.I will supply it.3-The paint looks good,but it was applied over dings and a rust spot on the passenger door,shown in the pictures.4-The shaker is not functioning now,but it was when I bought it>i have not had this checked out.5-The rubber strip on the rear bumper was recently hit and tore a chunk out of the corner and pulled it from the bumper,shown in the pictures.It was the fault of another driver and am having it estimated the first part of this week.I have no idea at this point if it will be repaired by the time this auction ends.
