Vehicle Detail
1981 DELOREAN DMC-12 This beautiful and very special automobile is a part of an extensive collection and is now being released to the highest bidder. Seller is not a dealer but rather a private collector near Austin, Texas who takes great pride in both the cars he buys, owns and the few he occasional sells. Please note that some information about this automobile was obtained from the previous owner(s). Questions about this vehicle can be emailed to: pctexas@hotmail.com To view more pictures of this automobile as well as others in this fine collection, please feel free to contact me at pctexas@hotmail.com Vehicle Information Mechanical Equipment Does it Have Does it Work Gages & Accessories Does it Have Does it Work Year 1981 Convertible Battery v v Make Delorean Wing hinged Doors v v Gas v v Model DMC-12 Air Conditioning v v Oil v v Exterior Color Stainless Steel Power Steering Temperature v v Interior Color Gray Power Brakes v v Tachometer v v Odometer 54,024 Power Windows v v Speedometer v v VIN # SCEDT26T4BD004687 Power Locks Odometer v v Engine 2.8L Volvo / V-6 Power Seats Horn v v Transmission 5-speed standard Cruise Control Wipers v v Matching Numbers Yes AM Radio v v Head Lights v v Front Seats Bucket AM/FM Radio Parking Lights v v 8-Tract Tape Player Turning Signals v v Cassette Tape Player Stop Lights v v CD Player v v Fog Lights Note: mileage is what is shown on the odometer, however, due to the age of the car, we have no way to truly verify if this reading is accurate Other Equipment 2.8L Volvo / STAGE 1 TUNING V-6 TIME MACHINE/FLUX CAPASITOR (: alarm anti-theft rear defrost leather seats bucket seats keyless entry power mirrors center console climate control tinted windows Premium alloy wheels trip/milage computer programmable rear view mirror Comments If one could envision what an automotive time machine would look like, the Delorean would certainly be towards the top of that list. This particular Delorean is in very good condition and well documented with build sheets and receipts. The car starts right up with very little effort and drives extremely well. The drivers side seat and dash board has some cracking, however, the dashboard has a nice custom black dash cover installed on it. It's amazing how much attention this automobile attracts. As you drive down the road, people point and stare. When stopped, they come up and want to take a closer look and even take pictures. But there's a reason for this car attracting so much attention, it really is automotive history in motion. But even better than this is the fact that this car drives so well and is a joy to drive. While you may not reach your destination with the speed of light, you won't worry about getting there. So whether you buy this car to drive on a daily basis or add it to your collection to simply look at and admire, you can't go wrong with doing either one.
