Here I have my Chevy van for sale to the highest bidder. This is a non working van at the moment. This is my fourth vehicle so I used it very little. I had not licensed it since 2010. All I used it for was to haul wood in the back of it and my trailer was hitched to it. I did this on my own property so I had no sticker and no insurance. Then one day after about three months of non use, it did not start. It always started just fine before and I had gone longer than three months before during wood hauls. I rope towed it down the street to the auto shop and he said it was the ECU. He put one of his in it and it started right up. But that one was going into another vehicle. He said I had to pay $150 to tow it to a GM garage, Pay $200 to buy the ECU, pay $100 to get it flashed for the VIN. I just am going to call it quits on this. I am just going to sell this to the highest bidder starting at 99cents with no reserve. ....BID.....WIN.....TOW! Now here is everything that is wrong with this van.....and this weighed in on my decision. The air conditioning does not work. The power drivers side window does not work. The conversions doors open up very hard. There is rust hole under passenger side bottom. Dent in the passenger front quarter panel courtesy of my son. Dent in back door courtesy of my other son. The engine cover is off and in the back of the van. The air cleaner is off and in the back of the van. The ECU is out of it and in the van. I had to top it off with coolant every few weeks. NOW here is the good.....tires are about 85%....fairly new. Van looks good.....not a rust bucket. No broken glass, no cracked dash.....no ripped carpet(could use a steam clean). No ripped seats on 4 nice captains chairs. STRONG 305 motor...always ran good with good power. Nice Reese hitch. Tranny all works. no broken grill. aluminum mags are 85%....some pitting. inside mood runner lights all worked last I saw them. Heater worked good last time I used it. My problem is, I would pay $500 to fix and then she sits 4 months at a time and I would be back in the same boat. I just barrow my sons truck now. I just hope someone can get some use out of it. Camping, fishing or daily driver. Very good usable parts but it is 15 years old. This is a 99 cent auction....BID....WIN....TOW. I warranty NOTHING. As is, where is! Goes home to the new owner at auction end. Strong battery. My understanding is you need the vehicle to flash the ECU. Or you could just bring one and drive it home. CASH at pick up only. You inspect, pay cash and its yours. Title in hand.....good luck
