Vehicle Detail

1994 AM GENERAL H1 HUMMER 94,715 miles, turbo diesel. Automatic transmission Fully functioning Central Tire Inflation System This H1 runs very well. I'd drive it anywhere. The motor turns over easily and strongly. The transmission shifts strongly. Clean interior, clean exterior. The hood has been repainted and is glossier than the rest of the vehicle. All window rubber is excellent. There are a couple of chips in the flat front windshield, but no cracks, all the other glass is perfect. I purchased the H1 from a friend of mine that owns a local car lot, back in November 2009. I've always been a fan of the H1, but now I want to sell it to the next fan. The history I do know, is that this H1 worked in Alaska most of it's life for the Forestry Service(?), then to Scottsdale, then to New Mexico where I bought her. The VIN number is an early VIN, and most insurance company systems don't recognize it. I had no problem insuring her through State Farm and then Farmers Insurance. I bought the H1 with 92,687 miles on her, she now has 94,715. Clear title in hand. Please take a look at the invoices for service that I've scanned and attached to this auction. To summarize: 12/22/2009 - repair to central tire inflation system leak $382.51, please also not on this invoice that the brakes were inspected and found to only be at 30% wear. 01/26/2010 - replaced heater blower motor $827.71, replaced all 8 glow plugs $459.00, replaced 5 tires $5,461.68, replaced 2 batteries $243.39 - TOTAL INVOICE $7,475.14 *****I'd just like to point out that the 5 new tires are the factory M/T 37s, these cost $750 each, they only have 1,530 miles on them, the spare has zero miles on it***** 02/01/2010 - purchased factory owner's manual, these factory manuals come in a nice vinyl cover, which my Boxer thought was delicious, so the cover has some nibble marks! All service and the manual was done/purchased at Galles Hummer in Albuquerque. If you are a fan of the H1, you know what you are looking at. If not, this vehicle is an awe inspiring, unstoppable machine. Don't be confused and think this is a luxury H1. This H1 is as close to a military(read spartan) Hummer as you are going to get. I bought it because it is the early incarnation, and a true work horse of a vehicle. Nothing can stop it's forward progress. It weights 10,300 pounds and is universally loved by all that see it. It's the classic desert tan, which I find to be the perfect color for an H1. Hippies and tree-huggers DO NOT like this vehicle. You don't have to listen to their complaining when stopped next to one of these types in their Prius(with Obama bumper sticker), Subaru(with End This War bumper sticker), or Volvo(with An Eye for an Eye Makes the Whole World Blind bumper sticker), as nothing is audible over the roar of the mighty turbo diesel. It runs very cleanly on the new ultra low sulfer diesel you find at the pumps now. There is a radio and speakers in the headliner up front. I have disabled the radio, but it can be powered up again very easily. *****UPDATE*****- Just had my mechanic charge the A/C system yesterday, 7/14/11, with R134A, it's blowing nice and cold now, 47 degrees to be exact. I do put in anit-gel additive in the winter. This stops the diesel fuel from gelling up when the temperature drops. This H1 also has a plug in for the engine block. I would suggest that you use both the additive and plug her in at night during very cold weather. With both of those things done, she happily starts up each and every time. Shipping is your responsibility. I shudder to think how much a shipping company would charge you, if they could even get it on their rig. I've listed the money I'd like to get for her, but make me an offer and I'll noodle on it. Thanks for looking. *****I had a bidder make me an offer, I accepted his offer, but haven't heard back from that bidder since our phone call. If you make me an offer, and I accept, that's a deal, just so you know.*****So now it's back up for your consideration. *****OK people, once again, if you send me an offer, and I accept that offer, we have a deal. Don't tell me afterwards that you need some time to get the money together, or can I set up a payment plan-I am not a bank, I like to think I'm not a dickhead(which is how I see most banks). I have not one, but three, complaints now going related to this auction. Again, not being a dick, but I have to file these, so that Ebay will waive their commission and listing fees.*****
