Vehicle Detail
Auction Vehicle - 1969 Chevy Camaro X44 Coupe (PROJECT CAR THAT NEEDS FINISHING) with non matching 350 cubic inch engine, 350 turbo transmission, and 12 bolt posi rear with 308 gears. Car exterior was originally Daytona yellow with deluxe yellow houndstooth interior, automatic on the column, a very rare combination. I have owned this car for 6 years and have never driven it. I originally bought it out of southern Georgia with the intentions of restoring it. I will not be able to finish this project car at this time. Car runs but does not drive at this point and will need to be trailered. The brake system needs to be bled. I have, to this point, pulled the front rust free clip off as well as the front suspension, motor, and trans. Motor was sent out to a machine shop, checked over and reassembled to its current condition. The front frame and all suspension components, shocks, springs, brakes, lines, hardware, etc were either blasted or replaced with new parts. The frame, a-arms and inner front wheel tubs have been sand blasted and powder coated, and the front frame is very nicely detailed and show quality. The rear springs are newer, all brake components (lines, master cylinder, booster, proportioning valve, etc) are new, brakes need to be bled, and bench bleeding is complete. Driveshaft is installed. Trim Tag - ST 69 12437 NOR116007 TR714 76 76 09D X44 Motor - 1973 Chevy 350 with under 5,000 miles. I had the motor taken apart and inspected at a local machine shop, mostly all stock with roughly a 460 lift hyd cam, roller tip rockers, and 194 heads. All new gaskets, oil and filter, and all pumps and brackets and parts were blasted and repainted, very nicely detailed engine. Runs good but could use a final tune up. Transmission - Turbo 350 with less than 5,000 miles. Rear End - 12 bolt with 308 posi, seems tight, and the miles are unknown. Body - Front clip including raised hood, fenders, inner tubs, valence, nose, grill, core support, etc were pulled off of a 69 Z-28 car in the early 80s and is in excellent condition, very solid and close to NOS condition. It still retains its original factory paint. Doors are original to the car and are usable but will need some work. The top is ok. The floors, quarters, trunk pan, trunk extensions, trunk drop offs, and deck lid filler panel will all need replacement. Floors under rear seat are very nice, rear frame rails, front and rear spring mounts, shock mounts, and rockers are very solid. The rear tail light panel and outer wheelhouses, in my determination are usable, but you may want to replace them once you get into the restoration? Floor pan braces and seat mounts are all very solid. Sheet metal and dash around front window looks good. I do have all sheet metal that needs replacing including: two half section floor pans, both 80% quarters that include trunk seal sections and wrap in quarter window, one piece center trunk pan, trunk pan extensions, trunk drop offs, and deck lid filler. Interior - Steering wheel is a nice black SS with no cracks. Dash is complete but is missing the radio. All wiring is under dash as well as the vents, heating box, and cables with controls. Car has sun visors but is missing the headliner, sail panels, deck panel, and seat belts. It has white standard door panels with green standard seats and black dash pad. The window regulators and door hardware is correct for deluxe interior. I have new correct yellow deluxe front and rear door panels and new yellow houndstooth seat covers. That is all I have for the interior. Exhaust - I have a one year old, full chambered exhaust that has not been installed. The car has open headers at this time. Very nice exhaust . Glass - All glass is there with no cracks. I have all of the stainless for around the glass. Wheels - Wheels are 15x7 GM ralleys with trim rings but no centers. Tires are about 50% and hold air. Electrical - Wiring is all there and in working condition. Has new front wiring harness. This car is being sold in AS IS condition. I have explained the vehicle to the best of my knowledge. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. I will only accept the deposit payment through Paypal with the balance due upon pickup. Please contact me prior to bidding if you have less than 10 positive feedback comments. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. You can call me at 920-728-5800 if you need more details or email as well. If you had the floor pans installed, exhaust hung, final tune up, fluids checked, etc you could have a driver or you can finish where I left off and do a full restoration and have a high quality, rare color combo car. I have clean paper work. The auction will run its full term and you are welcome to setup a viewing. All shipping arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility. I will be glad to help with loading if needed. All sheet metal and exhaust will fit inside car or trunk for easier transportation.
