Up for sale is my 1992 Mercedes Benz 500e. This car has the very rare Bornite exterior color. I believe there are only a couple of hundred 500e's in the USA with this color. I have owned many german cars and this one has been my all time favorite. The engine is smooth and torquey, the steering precise, suspension very agile the car is a perfect highway cruiser. My car has a clean title and was involved in a front end accident in 2001.The car sat for 6 years until I purchased her in 2007 with 54 ,000 miles. Because of the low miles and great condition I decided to do a full body respray to bring her back to her former glory. My shop does many high-end cars and restorations and as you can see the car looks stunning. There is no rust, dings,dents to deal with. Every mount or bushing that needed addressing has been changed so the car handles rock solid. The transmission shifts smooth and perfect. The windows, rear sunshade,sunroof power seats and radio all work precisely. It still has the factory floor mats. I have the original manuals and service receipts. The car has a clean carfax report that I can provide also.Before putting her on the road I decided to give her a full service ( with receipts) starting in 2009 we changed :All of the rear suspension links:Tie linkCamber link Pulling linkPushing linkMajor service done 03/2009 Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Matching Burlwood Wood steering wheelOriginal OZ Opera 2 piece wheels. 18x8.5 fronts, 18x10.5 rears no rubbing or spacers. Bosch European corner lights (not fake ebay copies) Hella OEM European Head lights ( not fake ebay copies. I liked these instead of the chrome housing of the 500e ones )S600 Style grillOEM 94-95 rear taillights (Original OEM taillights included in sale also).Brand new water pump (the one on the car works perfect no overheating )Yellow Lamin-x film on the fog lights. There are a couple of things that need addressing to make the car perfect.It needs an AC/Condenser the current one has a leakWhile the car was parked for 6 years someone left parts on the rear driver side seat causing a stain.The horn doesn't work.I have done my best to photograph and document the car completely and honestly so please keep in mind it is a 20 year old used car.The car is a future collectable and it still out performs many performance cars of today. This car has won many accolades and awards when put up against the best cars in the world such as the M5, Audi Ur S4, and even the some newer Mercedes models. It is not easy for me to sell the car. I built it to my liking and it has been a rewarding, reliable and entertaining experience. My business and personal requirements are forcing me to sell her.
