1980 HONDA CB 750FSUPER SPORT only 21k ORIGINAL MILESBIDDING STARTS AT JUST .99 CENTS !!!!!!! Up for bid is a rare classic 1980 Honda CB750 Super Sport with only 21k original miles. This is a one of a kind Barn Find that is out of a California estate and has been in storage for years. The bike has been parked unused for years and had the reg paid up to 2007. The tank looked decent inside so we filled with fresh gas clean the plugs and pulled the carbs and had them cleaned and serviced. We put in a new battery and she fired right up. The bike is a runner and shifts in all gears, it runs like a 1980 Honda 750-F should, good and strong in every gear. I personally rode the bike apx 50 miles yesterday. the more I road it the better it ran. It still could use the carbs to be tuned as it seems to run a tad bid lean at take off and the idle is less than perfect. But it is a strong engine that was owned by a senior and has never been abused. The bike was purchased new in Northern Californias Silicon Valley at Santa Clara Honda over 31 years ago and has spend its entire life in the Golden State. It was purchased new and has an original period correct Vetter fairing that is a bolt on item and can be removed with ease if so desired if you want to put it back to stock, it also has after market crash bars that show a little chrome pitting and would be easily removed to make it stock. The bike is a stock 750F that has these the fairing is also bolt on and could easily be removed. These items are more common on a 750K not a 750F which is more of a sport bike and less than a cruiser. I was going to remove it and make it stock but thought it might appeal to a collector who wanted a period correct bike. Either way it could be made stock very easily. The bike has the original tank and paint. All of the emblems and pin stripes are in fine shape however the clear coat is weak in several areas and has some clear coat checking. It could possible be color sanded and look a lot better. It is original which is amazing for a 31 year old vehicle. It has original chrome pipes that are in decent shape. Everything seems to work as far as signals and lights as well as all the gauges. The seat is seperating on the seem, replacement seat covers are available on Ebay for a very reasonable price or you can find an original seat for an affordable price here on Ebay. This bike is a survivor and original not restored, this 750F is a bike you can take out and ride and could be easily be restored to like new condition. This is an ideal candidate for the collector who is looking for a value priced 750F as is one of the most important motorcycles in history. This bike is all original down to the classic BLUE California plate that are becoming collector items in there own right as they have been out of production for over 30 years and this Super Sport has the Blue plate that was issued for this bike in 1980. Original CB750s are becoming better investments than money in the bank. I saw on early 70's 750K on Ebay bring over $11,000. Please dont take my word for it but check completed listings. You can buy this one for a lot less and this is the Super Sport not the K. The Super Sport was the high performance model not the plain jane model. The Reserve is very low for such a high quality example. The tires are both very nice and might be original however I cannot guarantee this, never the less they are in very nice condition.Otherwise this is a outstanding example of a classic vintage Honda that will only go up in value in the coming years. This was the original Superbike designed primarily for the US market, the first with a disc brake in front and in the rear. To be clear, you are bidding on a original Honda 750F that has been in storage and will need a good tune up and some cosmetic restoration to make perfect.Bid to buy as it is priced to sell. Please don't email me and ask what I am selling it for, it is priced to sell. If you want to BUY IT NOW feel FREE to make an offer and if accepted and payed for I will end the auction and you can come get the bike or I can put you in contact with a Wholesale shipper to bring it to you for a affordable price Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to own a hardly used classic priced way below the market. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A CLASSIC HONDA 750F FOR A STARTING BID OF ONLY$ .99 The Honda CB750 is a motorcycle built in several model series between 1969–2003 and 2007 that is recognized as a milestone for Honda's successful introduction of a transverse, overhead camshaft inline four-cylinder engine that has ever since been the dominant sport bikeconfiguration. Though MV Agusta had sold such a model in 1965, and it had been used in racing engines before World War II, the CB750 is recognized as the four-cylinder sport bike that had a lasting impact and is often called the first superbike. The model is included in the AMA Hall of Fame Classic Bikes HistoryHonda of Japan introduced the CB750 motorcycle to the US and European markets in 1969 after experiencing success with their smaller motorcycles. The bike was targeted directly at the US market after Honda officials, including founder Soichiro Honda, repeatedly met with US dealers and understood the opportunity for a larger bike.Under development for a year, the CB750 offered two unprecedented features, a front disc brake and a transverse straight-4 engine with an overhead camshaft, neither of which was previously available on a mainstream, affordable production bike. These two features, along with the introductory price of US$1,495 (US$8,956 in current money), gave the CB750 a considerable advantage over its competition, particularly its British rivals.Cycle magazine called the CB750 "the most sophisticated production bike ever" upon its introduction. Cycle World called it a masterpiece, highlighting Honda's painstaking durability testing, the bike's 120 mph (190 km/h) top speed, the fade-free performance of the braking, the comfortable ride and excellent instrumentation. The CB750 was the first modern four-cylinder machine from a mainstream manufacturer, and the term superbike was coined to describe it. The bike offered other important features that added to its compelling value: electric starter, kill switch, dual mirrors, flashing turn signals, easily maintained valves and overall smoothness and freedom from vibration both underway and at a standstill; later models (1991 on) included maintenance-free hydraulic valves. On the other hand, the bike was difficult to get on its center stand and tended to throw chain oil onto its muffler.Unable to gauge demand for the new bike accurately, Honda limited its initial investment in the production dies for the CB750 by using a technique called permanent mold casting (often erroneously referred to as sandcasting) rather than diecasting for the engines – unsure of the bike's reception. The bike remained in the Honda lineup for ten years, with sales totaling over 400,000 in its life span. The CB750 is sometimes referred to as a Universal Japanese Motorcycle or UJM. The Discovery Channel ranked the Honda CB750 third among the top ten greatest motorbikes of all time Additional Information, Please Read Before Bidding Please only bid if you intend to buy.
