Vehicle Detail

Selling for NO RESERVE. Final bid wins my car... 1972 BMW 3.0 CSI in original Baikal Blue with Black interior. Recently restored over the past year and just recently added a new baby to the family and dont have the time to finish the car. Time to let someone else take over and enjoy the car. This is a real 3.0 CSI fuel injected car originally from Italy. Owned and garaged by an executive from Walt Disney in California. See the parking decals on the car. I took over the car over a little over a year ago and proceeded with the project. It had a great body with faded paint, no rust, 14 inch Alpinas, 5 speed transmission and factory cold AC. Needed paint, interior, and mechanical work. No rust in the trunk, floors, rockers or shock towers. Rare for a CSI model. This is my third E9 coupe and wanted to make a nice car to bring to car shows etc. See the pics below and youtube video. Here is a list of the work done to the car over the past year with receipts: *Full complete repaint with PPG paint in Baikal Blue *New CSI stripe decals in black *New rubber window seals front and back *New upholstered factory Recaro seats front and back *New Burlwood trim for that elegant finish (original wood pieces removed and refinished in Burl Walnut) *New covered vinyl dash, shifter, and rear hat tray (dash has no cracks and looks beautiful) *New Michelin tires less than 50 miles *New clutch kit *New clutch master cylinder *New clutch bearings *New heater hose/coolant hose *New battery *New exhaust hangers *New starter *New reseal cylinder head rear gasket This has been a long project for me and hoped to be done this summer but just cannot commit the time. There is a few things left to do on the car: *Battery drain. Car battery dies after 1-2 days. Has a large short/draw in electrical system. Already removed aftermarket alarm and radio. Still has not fixed the problem. Will require diagnosis. *Re install wipers *Steering binds up and gets stiff intermittently when turning. Needs diagnosis *Needs rear brake pads. Front are 4mm *Hood on left side sits a bit higher and needs alignment to be flush. Other than the needed the repairs the car runs and drives excellent. It is fast and has strong acceleration and excellent braking. All of the lights, brakes, headlights, signals are working. Odometer and speedometer and tach working. Fuel gauge works. AC blows cold. Power windows work (had all of them lubricated when door panels were removed). It wont take much more to finish this beautiful car. Really hope this goes to a good home and E9 enthusiast. Clear California title in hand. Email for more info. Please please read before bidding: *Less than 10 feedback bidders please send your contact email/phone prior to bidding to avoid getting bid cancelled. *Sale is AS IS.
