You are looking at a very rare vehicle in remarkable condition. It is a 1938 Dodge Cab Over Engine (COE) sitting on a 1986 1 ton Chevy dually chassis. It was intended to be a car hauler to haul my street rod to shows. The 135 inch wheel base chassis has disc brakes, power steering and tilt steering column. It is 80 inches from the cab to the differential; plenty of room to mount any engine and transmission combination behind the cab so that height and heat in the cab is not an issue. There is no engine or transmission. It is 11 feet from the cab to the end of the chassis; perfect for an 11 foot flat bed. We have two of those; one tilts and one does not. They are not a part of the sale. You may want to make it a pickup which is very nice and unusual. I have a title and current OK registration on the 1938 Dodge truck. The cab is in remarkable condition. It has surface rust and usual wear but only one rust through by the drivers cowl light as you can see from the picture. It has two dents, one at the passenger rear quarter and one on top of the cab as you can see from the pictures. The windshield and back window frames are intact but glass needs replaced. Doors are all there and the windows roll up and down with some effort. I have the hood chrome piece – it is not in the pictures. You can find a ram hood ornament for this truck on Ebay for $700. Notice the hood ornament is on the truck. You see a few Chevy and Ford COE’s but very few Dodges, particularly this old. I have the truck for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. You arrange for the pick up and ship. I can assist with the loading.
