Note to Bidders: Feedback less than 5? You must contact me before bidding to review my terms and conditions. I am listing this car for a busy friend but all questions will be answered promptly by me, the owner or Tom the mechanic. We have clear OH title in hand ready to transfer. We require a $500 deposit via Paypal with the balance in cash or settled funds at or prior to delivery. About the Seller I am a mechanical engineer with 40 yrs experience in the vehicle industry aftermarket. I list cars for friends and family. I take pride and full responsibility for my descriptions and enjoy a stellar reputation by making sure there are no surprises at delivery. I am not a dealer so there are no junk fees, documentation fees, no free TV’s or Ginzu knives but also, no suspenseful consultations with “the sales manager” (that’s me)! I give you the facts and we exchange the vehicle and title for your money. Way too simple but that’s how I do it. Of course, we all know by now that any used vehicle (just like life) may or may not turn out the way you or I or anybody expects it to do and is sold as-is where-is with no warrantees expressed or implied. Note: Buy-it-now price of $22k is well below half the build cost!!! This is a fully-sick ’57 CHEVY TRUCK! Even if you find a surviver out there to start your own project you’d likely have $5-$7k into just a good solid starting point! This is a fully sick bargain offered by a motivated seller. Imagine your company logo on this jewell! Do you deliver specialty parts or would you like your company name ‘out there’ in full view whenever you take a ride in this eye catcher? Put this in your advertising budget. I drove this truck yesterday where I could open the motor up a bit and it is a classic rod driving experience! The motor sounds and pulls brutishly. The R4 snaps shifts off as crisp as a pistol shot and the Green Monster scoots down the road. For high resolution versions of the pics and others go to my photo server at: http://suzuki-gs-bikes.smugmug.com/Trucks/1957-Chevy-3100-2WD-Pick-up/17565593_MTNgPm#1338459863_h4BCJt8 This truck got it’s frame-off re-do 6 yrs ago then was driven only a few hundred miles as the owners divorced. It was well-stored out of the elements in a clean, dry storage garage. We don’t have a lot of history on the truck prior to it’s overhaulin’ but here are the facts as we know them: § Mechanically over the top with a fully built 327, blower, 4 bbl Carter BFC, new 700 R4 transmission, front disk conversions, customized drive shaft; Very conservative rear end in this jewel—don’t have a build sheet on it but we calculate it to be in the 2.75 ball park—a real highway cruiser set up which should even get halfway decent mileage—if you can keep your foot out of it! § Color mimics period correct GM green but this metal flake version looks much brighter and many coats of clear over color buffed to a high luster make the paint absolutely burst out and hit you in the eyeballs. Paint is very strong with hardly a blem to report. § Stock look retained as much as possible (period-correct mirrors, stock light modules, etc); old-school bench-seat interior, black rubber mats over nos carpet. Stock dash board including gages retained with everything working including lights, flashers, fuel gage, amp meter, temperature gage, oil pressure gage. Note in last several photos that modern L.E.D. gages were added beneath newer radio; tach and blower boost pressure gages added to steering column. § Just serviced by GM expert including new battery, plugs, wires, cap. Carb was carefully cleaned and adjusted, brake system cleaned and bled. § Fresh Goodrich T/A’s ( 5) on nearly perfect original steel wheels with beauty rings ISSUES? NITPICKS? No known driveability issues, very strong mechanicals and cosmetics. The body and door lines are good, passenger door and hood could use minor adjustment but no sag or opening/closing issues. Paint is very very nice with straight nicely finished body panels. Not a perfect Barrett-Jackson job mind you, but very high quality professional craftsmanship throughout this build. Note to international bidders: We are experienced with all aspects of preparation, shipping, handling and paperwork for a smooth transaction. We can work with qualified buyers from just about anywhere serviced by commercial shippers. We do require bank wire transfers or certified bank drafts to clear our accounts before shipping. Remember your vehicle can be a convenient ‘shipping container’ for additional spares or accessories you may want us to include with the vehicle. Enquire by email to discuss specifics.
