LOL the exhuast from a z-28 is what we started with and a few cuts and welds later the perfect installation of duel exhaust the duel exhaust makes this a look like muscle sleeper 64 Cutlass and 63 Falcon with 70's Pepsi 1963 FORD FALCON4 DOOR SEDAN6 CLY. AUTOMATIC For Sale from my Private Collection STORY-DESCRIPTION: (Once upon a time...) This car was first purchased from a storage auction, the way it happened was one of my towing company customers works for a management business and he thought I might be interested in the auction that was ending that day, he gave me a vague description of the 3 cars they were auctioning by sealed bid, I called the company and sent over a bid. A few day later I found out I won. the description that was given to me was he believed there was a early 70's Oldsmobile boat, a mid 90,s T-Bird and mid 60's Ford. I send the payment over with my driver and he towed the cars in one at a time, when he came back with the Falcon I checked it out and he opened the hood I looked inside and said "it was cute with a big whopping 6 banger". The first close walk around inspection I found it had bad rust on both rear quarter fenders on the bottom, rust on top of the driver side front fender by the headlight, also the rear door jams had small holes in the back corners and both rear floorboards were soft. one door handle broken, one hub cab missing and driver side rear door window and triangle glass was broken. (if you would like see more pictures, before & after, contact me) All the chrome and trim was very nice there were a few small items that needed to be replaced. So we covered the door where the broken window was and put it out back for a little project for later. (2 years later) I have had some hard times lately so I have to sell all my toys and projects. So my mechanics put a battery in the car and a little gas in the single barrel craburetor, it started right away and they drove it into the garage and put it on the lift for an inspection. Wow what a shock it was, it had so many new parts that were installed on this car before it was put in storage. What a pleasant surprise. The interior was not to bad the red dash was faded and the headliner was gone, the door panels were pealing a little, but everything was there except the lighter and one of the rear armrest. We are not a professional body shop and we do not claim to be professional restorers, but were not bad ether. We are a professional repair garage that once a month we take on a project that we inspect, clean and repair, paint and detail it, with a theme and we have fun making something new and fresh. It may not look factory, but sometimes factory is boring. In this case we remained very close to factory, played a little with the interior door panels and a little with the outside paint. But if someone wanted to take it to a professional restoration level, they would have a great start with this car. Inside the car we repainted the dash and doors the original red, Installed a brand new headliner, replaced the window and triangle glass on the rear door, replaced the door handle with a new one and replaced all the door panels with a black vinyl instead of red. So we could match the outside and refresh the look inside. The outside was a much bigger job, we cut out the rusty quarter panels and replaced it with new sheet metal , welded it in, used fiberglass and did the bodywork on both sides and front fender. Sanded, primed and painted the car flat black, also replaced the tires, cleaned and painted the rims red.We replaced the hubcaps with new Falcon caps also added new beauty rings on all four wheels. Cleaned all the chrome and replaced the emblems. We painted the roof and side panels of the car red using a flat base coat paint. (which really made this car look great) The design of this car made it just pop out with a awesome look. Also the greatest thing about this little car is that it gets better than 30 miles per gallon. (specially with the price of gas today) I have a few hours time just writing this, trying to be as honest and truthful as I can with you. this little 1963 Falcon has more character than most of the new cars sold today, it will not win many races, (it would be like drag racing in a Honda Priest) it is a head turner and will draw attention no matter where you drive it... not because its perfect, (because its not) but it has the simple easy day look of years gone bye! List of items we believe to be replaced before the old owner put the Falcon in a storage bin:New Gas TankNew Sending Unit4 New Brake Drums4 New Backing Plates4 New Brake Shoes2 New Font Spindles & BearingsNew Brake Lines Front & Rear 3 New Brake Hoses 2 front / 1 RearNew O.E. Fuel LinesThe Exhaust was missing from doors back, so we added one with a twist in front off the gas tank it splits into two and you get duel exhaust tips to the rear bumper, came off a Z28 we had out back and spent a few hours to make a custom fit. the only thing we did not fix yet was the rear floor pans and door jams, not a big job maybe a couple days work. we just had to much time in the other stuff. but it turned out great. I Know a straight six banger with duel exhaust.(a sleeper want-a-be) So I'm selling this car: as-is, no guaranties, what you see is what you get. no reserve, sold to the highest bidder. GOOD LUCK! May GOD Bless You! History: (According to Wikipedia)By American standards of the 1960s, the Falcon was a small car, but elsewhere it would be considered a mid sized car. It was powered by a small, lightweight 90 hp (67 kW), 144 CID (2.4 L) straight 6 cylinder with a single-barrel carburetor. Construction was unibody, and suspension was fairly standard; coil springs in front, leaf springs in the rear. Drum brakes were used at the front and rear wheels. The two-speed Ford-O-Matic Automatic was optionally available . There was room for six passengers in reasonable comfort in the simple interior. The 144 straight 6 (2.4L) was made from 1960 through 1964 and averaged 90 hp (67 KW) during the production run. While not known for being powerful or a stout engine, it proved to be economical and could get fairly good gas mileage for the time (up to 25-30mpg). This small six was the basis for all the Ford "Falcon" straight six engines. The intake manifold on this series of engine was cast integrally with the cylinder head (this design was also used by Chevrolet with their third generation in-line six); as a result, they could not be easily modified for greater power. This engine had four main bearings and can be identified by the three core plugs on the side of the block. 140 Thriftpower SixProduction 1960 - 1964Displacement 144 cu in (2.4 L)Cylinder Bore 3.5 in (88.9 mm) Piston Stroke 2.5 in (63.5 mm)Compression Ratio 8.7:1Power Output 84 hp (63 kW) @ 4200 RPM Torque Output 134 lb·ft (182 N·m) @ 2000 RPM My name is Mark and due to my health condition I am selling everything I own, so keep your eyes out for many more items in the future. if you need to contact me, you can at (207) 777-4926 I have to warn you that I have a trachea and it not easy to understand me on the phone. you can e-mail at Mainetow@roadrunner.com it is much easier.
