This is a 1963 Series IIA 90 Land Rover. 4cyl 2.5L engine. 4 speed transmission. Primer gray. Aluminium body. Konenig Iron Works Winch 8k. Rare and original. One owner vehicle. It was used as a hunting vehicle here in Florida. Owner died in 1996 and it sat in in his driveway until 2010 and I had to get it. ENGINE and TRANSMISSION ARE SOLID. She starts right up first try. Gas tank was removed and cleaned. I have only run about forty miles since I have owned her. It has original tubed tires with awesome tread. I did use it a little to drive around. Now for some of the things to fix: It has rust spots near the doors. And a larger area right above the firewall where the left vent is. It has a slight list to the left due to one of the springs relaxing. The window and door seal need to be replaced. All the glass moves and works properly. The carburetor is a Carter YF which I cleaned and rebuilt but it is not an original and I would replace it. I think you could get better performance out of a WEBER or SOLEX. The radiator has a pinhole leak and only shows when you turn off the vehicle when the psi builds up. You could have it cleaned or replace it new from www.roversnorth.com Wiper motors are there but do not function. I haven't the time to pull apart and inspect. No seat belts or rear seats. They were rotted so I pulled them out. I did order two new front seats. The undercarriage has a bit of surface rust but nothing that has rotted through. Right side fender is slightly dented as shown in picture. For the good: It has been garaged since 2010. Engine works great. New battery. Small TACH. New proper spark plugs and wires. Points and condenser are fine. Two oil changes and filters to clean out old. Doesn't smoke after it warms up. And barely smokes when cold. New fuel pump re-build and extra kit. All the lights work except one parking light in the front. I was trying to find an original socket for that. Turn signals work. All doors lock. The transmission is four speed and works great. ALL fluids in the drive train have been replaced. That is axles, transfer case, hubs, and transmission. Parking brake has all new parts and functions. Master & slave clutch cylinders have been replaced and work great. The brake master cylinder and all four slaves have been replaced. All the original gauges except water temp work fine. I have an after market water temp gauge that is installed and works fine. New thermostat was installed and no leaks. The oil psi sending unit is not working but the light is good on dash. New voltage regulator. New choke light indicator switch. There is an awesome Konneig Iron Works Winch/ PTO 8k that works great.The throttle adjuster mechanism in the cab works fine also. I just put new wire rope with hook. New side view mirrors. It runs about 60mph with the current tires.Many extra spare items and all the invoices from what I bought. Plus Haynes book and DVD/CD ROM parts and manual. If I can think of anything else I will immediately post it! Total payment in 24hours.
