Vehicle Detail
This is the second time listing this car. Please do not bid if you do not have funds ready and/or have no intentions of following through on the auction. The previous auction ended at $10,200. I am willing to end the auction early if someone comes with $10k. Please do not text me and offer less. This is a great price for this type of car. You know that if you have been looking for this car. If I do not get a buyer to follow through this time, I will just keep the car. Here is a great buy for someone. I am selling this because I was divorced two weeks ago and have no need for this vehicle. I bought this for my wife in Oct 2010. We put 15,000 miles on it with no problems mechanically. I have two kids, so a two seater is not much use for me. I also have a four seat convertible and a motorcycle, so there is really no reason to keep this. My wife could not afford to keep this maintained, so I took it in the divorce. The corrected title in the carfax at 109,000 was taking her name off the car. I am currently driving this to work everyday, so the mileage is almost 111k. I bought this from a dealership in WI and took it to a performance shop to have it looked over. The frame is straight and the alignment is dead on (no shake in the steering wheel). Now for the details on this car: 2.5L engine with cold air intake and up to 36 mpg or more cruising at 70mph on the highway (350 to 450 miles on 12 gallons) Sport package (sport button for sharper shifts) Premium Package (memory power seats) SMG transmission (this is awesome. Same losses as the manual transmission without having to use the clutch) 18inch wheels with staggered setup and brand new tires 3k miles ago red leather interior with heated seats replaced rear brake pads and rotors last fall Motorola bluetooth replaced the front control arm bushings with very good roller bearing bushings. I bought them for my M3, but they were meant for the 3series/Z4, so instead of shipping them back, I installed them on this car. They were $200. Brand new front brake pads and rotors (I bought them with the rears, but they didn't need to be replaced yet) BMW synthetic oil used Now for the bad: Motor for softtop is not working. Top can be manually put up and down. The motor is about $350. Since we bought this last fall, we didn't decided to wait to replace the motor. The lock cap is missing on the passanger door. This part is a couple dollars, but I don't know the part number and haven't worried about it. The ashtray cover is stuck half open. There is a piece of plastic blocking the cover from opening all the way. It also will not stay closed. This is less than $100 to fix if it bothers you. It didn't bother me and I didn't want to figure out how to take out the center console, so I left it as is. The passenger window will sometimes squeek when moving up and down. Sometimes the passenger lock will not open with the key. This and the motor for the top are very common problems with Z4s. Do a search and you will see that. If you buy another 03/04, you will probably have these problems soon if the motor has not been replaced yet by the current owner. The shocks are worn out. I have brand new Koni Single Adjustable Shocks (front and rear) that I planned to put on this spring (as well as Tein lowering springs), but I didn't get around to installing them before I decided to sell it. I also bought new bushings that I planned to install with the shocks. I can include these items for $650 if the winning bidder wants them (shocks, bushings and springs). These are normally $800 or more, plus wait time, as they are rarely in stock. Since I am going to sell the car now, I decided not to put any time or money into these parts I am more than happy to take this car to any local shop for a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) if you want. I had this checked out when I bought it. There are no issues other than those listed above. This car can be driven with nothing done to it, or you can fix the issues listed for the ultimate driving experience. The issues seem like a lot listed here, but if you do the work yourself, it will cost you less than $500 for everything and I have not seen any of these cars with a clean title for less than $11k. This car is being sold with no reserve for way less than any other Z4 listed on the internet, so please do not offer me less than the opening bid. If I don't get these amount, I will just keep it and continue to drive it to work. If you would like to check this car out in person, feel free to call me at 815-98five-five469.
