up for bids is a1970 honda cl350... PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING >>> BIKE HAS A PROD DATE OF 3/70 WHICH MAKES IT A 1970, VIN#CL350 2009648 ENGINE# CL350E2032050, THE ORIGINAL OWNER LOST THE PAPERWORK YEARS AGO AND WENT TO THE DMV IN 1984 TO RE REGISTER THE BIKE AFTER HAVING IT PARKED FOR ALONG TIME AND HE REGISTERED IT AS A 1971.THINKING THAT WAS THE YEAR OF THE BIKE. ALSO HE GAVE THEM THE ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER INSTEAD OF THE VIN# ASSUMEING THAT WAS THE VIN#... as any vintage honda enthusiast knows cl350"s did not have matching engine and frame numbers, so the bike is registered as a 1971 although the prod date is 3/70 and instead of the vin#being on the registration the engine number is listed, I hve gone down to the rhode island DMV and asked them what would be the best thing to do about it, and they said nothing needs to be done, the bike is to old, to even worry about it, rhode island does not title vehicles over 10yrs old anyway, i do have the registration certificate for it, which you will recieve along with a notarized bill of sale stateing the registration discrepancy 26yrs ago...so you will have no issues registering it, having said that... the bike starts and runs as it should... the tank is clean inside, the oil was just changed, new plugs installed and carbs completely rebuilt overall the bike is in great shape and i will let the pictures speak for themselves for the description... please email me your phone# if you have any questions and i will call you and try to answer best i can..
