For sale is a 1980 Mercedes 280 CE coupe. Silver with blue interior. I bought this car about 6 months ago, from an older gentleman that rarely drove it, as a weekend fun ride, but I am now relocating out of state, and the Mercedes can't come with me! The car runs and drives and stops, but of course has some quirks and issues. I have driven the car to Mississippi and back before, and it runs strong on the Interstate, but I would be a little weary of driving cross-country. The V6 really comes out when accelerating from about 55 to 75 mph. It is a fun car to cruise around in, and the car is still a looker, albeit not a 10. The good:-low original miles-strong V6 engine-undeniable classy looks!-front windows work well-front brakes completely redone-electrical leak found and fixed-brand new battery-original first aid kit and manuals-tires are not bad-clean title The bad:-some rust (mainly along the bottom of the doors and a couple spots on the body-CD player and Pioneer speakers aren't currently powered (fuse?)-sunroof is not powered (fuse?)-rear windows are not powered (disconnected- at least one needs a motor)-the right rear suspension is a little crunchy sounding on hard right turns.-one of the headlights just went out-driver's seatbelt mechanism is jammed (won't accept male end), but you can use passenger side-car pulls a bit to the right-you might get a couple drops of water during a hard rain since the seals around the front windshield are original. That is about it. I am listing this as honestly as possible, so please only bid if you want the car. thanks!
