1998 Honda Super Hawk

Red 1998 VTR1000 Super Hawk 996 with 28K miles, new front (120/60/17) and rear (180/55/17) Michellin 2CT's installed last week. All systems are factory and work as expected, rear passenger seat is under the rear cowl. The bike runs very well, shifts, excellerates, brakes and turns as expected. Frame sliders. Owners manual under locking seat. 2 keys. Very fast. Clear California title in my name with registration to 9/11. The wheels, axles and brakes were professionally checked last week when the new tires were mounted and balanced. The undercarriage, lower underside of farings, underside of front fender and under seat/tail section show some gravel pits and oil residue. I expect this is normal for a 13 year old bike and could be detailed with time and effort. The exhaust header pipe finish (painted) is scaling or peeling, actually turns to dust and will rub off but is a minor asthetic item, only noticeable when you are cleaning and inspecting the machine. Changed the oil and filter 200 miles ago. Nice step up from a smaller super sport bike. About 100HP and weighs 400 pounds. Perfect for a track day or club rides, passenger rear pegs and seat in place.
