Note to scammers: I just got done sending a 250,000 piece email bomb to the last moron who tried to dupe one of my bidders with a fake second-chance offer. My data security contact worked for the Dept of Defense before starting his own consulting outfit so unless you want to get a few hundred thousand offers for aluminum siding and ginzu knives, I’d practice your English on somebody else’s clients. To my valued bidders, I DO NOT offer free shipping or bundled shipping deals, the mainstay of scam-ville dirt bags. I do make second chance offers through eBay but please check your messages inside your ebay account to make sure any offer came officially. Another tip off is my mother was an English teacher so I don’t write offers in “special English”, I don’t start off notes with ‘please kind sir’ or other scammer politenesses. If it smells fishy it probably didn’t come from me. Now lets talk about this Ford E-150 Full Size conversion RV This van is owned by a busy engineer friend who has used it very little the last 4 years (see the autocheck history). I’m going to put a modest reserve on it with a low starting point and let you, mr. market, tell me how much it is worth. I like to sell through eBay but occasionally somebody down the street finds me so you know the caveat. The way I say it is this baby could be gone faster than a fifth of rum at a fraternity party. My wife says that any buyer would have had to drink that fifth of rum first, but what does she know about inner beauty? She married me didn’t she? First, the Bad News: The forward frame rails which carry the front bumper are rusty so that the torsion bar has broken away from the left side mount. For this reason I consider this a parts vehicle. It may be repairable but it would take some serious welding. It can be driven but I would not recommend a tour of the interstate system with this front end issue. It drives along ok at highway speed but an emergency stop would put you in pogo stick mode real quick. The Good News: · One owner, accident free with clear OH title ready for immediate transfer · Body is fairly clean with only some rust out at bottom of rear passenger door · Very low miles (64k) for this Ford truck running gear—and the engine, brakes and trans are very smooth and solid · Electrical stuff works—lights, blinkers, cruise control, sound system, drivers side power mirror control. · AC works · 4 leather captain’s chairs with electric adjusters all working fine · pop top high roof for extra space · decent tires and problem free original alloy wheels Other Issues The interior stops short of passing for a hospital clean room—it could use a good detailing. But it’s a non-smoker’s truck, the seats are in decent shape and even the carpet is not torn up or otherwise un-reclaimable. I noticed a little transmission fluid under the vehicle but I have not had to add any fluid in the several weeks I’ve had it. Passenger side rear-view mirror only adjusts on one axis (up and down but not in-out) probably a broken mount) Couple cracks showing up in the aftermarket running boards which could be repaired if moving to another vehicle. For the Lawyers…As everybody knows by now, you are buying a used vehicle here which is sold as-is where-is with no guarantees that it will do what you, I or anybody else expects it to do. I do guarantee that it has been described accurately and back that up by canceling a sale if you win the auction and come to pick up the vehicle and it does not meet your expectations. I have sent cars, trucks, motorcycles and parts to Europe, Canada, South America and all over the US so I take my responsibilities seriously to tell you what you are getting.
