Hi.I am selling my wifes little car because she wants to go back to driving her minivan that has more room.This 98 chevy prism will make someone a very nice dependible car.Let me give you some details of the car so you car get a feel for what it's like.I bought the car a few months ago with the thought that it would give my wife something to drive that is easyer on gas than our van.Our van averages 21 MPG.On line it is reported that this chevy should get mid 30's MPG.When I bought the car it ran good,but we soon discovered is was using oil bad.Like one quart per 100 mile or worse.I called Stoystown auto wreckers and they had a good 1999 motor for it.So I bought the motor that was lower in miles and put it in.After putting the new motor in I am verry pleased.My wife has been running the car for 2 weeks,and the oil is clean as can be ,and it has stayed right on the full mark.It runs excellent with lots of power,even with the air on which also works good.I just put new brake shoes on the front,and new caliper.It was recently Pa. inspected.with emissions.Both good for year.No rips in the interior.Good radio but no CD.Has back window defroster.Lever by driver seat to open trunk,and lever also to open gas door.No rust.Like I say this is a good little car.I suspect with the new motor it will get the gas MPG that they say the average is for this car.With the motor that was in it we got 30 Mpg,but remember it used oil like crazy.Keep in mind that we are not selling this car because of any problems.In fact any and all known problems have been taken care of so bid with confidence.The reason we are selling the car is because she wants the room she had in her van.Her and I my son his wife and the two grandkids can all ride in our van to do things together,and it is worth giving up 10 plus mpg just to travel together,and that is why it is for sale.If you look on line you will see what this car is selling for in good condition.I would consider this car in good condition.I am considering a low reserve auction of $1700 even though that is less than half of what I see they are going for on line at auto places.Please don't ask me to end the auction early.I really hope to get more than my reserve to have extra money for vacation,so I want the auction to run it's end.
