1947 WILLYS CJ-2A Up for grabs at no reserve is this cherry looking flatfender with clear title in hand. If you're looking for an all original jeep, This Is Not It. This jeep has had all the modifications to be able to drive it to location rather than pull it. The Engine has been converted to a Buick V-6, the Charging System has been converted to 12 Volt, all Gauges have been replaced with Ih Scout gauges, an Extra Fuel Tank has been added, and the Steering Box and Column has been replaced with a late model manual steering unit. This old Willys runs and drives sweet; tires are in great shape, it doesn't overheat, smoke, or leak anything; it's got a dependable charging system, and a full brake pedal. The problem with this jeep is that it has a froze syncronizer on the top shaft of the transmission that is not allowing me to enter 3rd gear. I have removed the top plate, confirmed shifter rod operation, and have tried to tap the sync loose, but with no success. The only other problems with this jeep are: the wiper motor is froze, the headlights aren't coming on, and the rear gas tank needs to be cleaned. I don't have it in me to pull the tranny, so I'm letting her go at no reserve to someone who can fix her up. I can't confirm if the axles or the transmission are originals or not. I've added pictures, for those who might know. There are 4 shocks on the rear, 2 are air shocks. I have included a picture of soft top and doors that I will throw in. Happy Bidding; Good Luck!!
