I am listing this car for a busy friend but all questions will be answered promptly by me, the owner or Tom the mechanic. $750 deposit via Paypal, balance in cash or settled funds at or prior to delivery. About the Seller I am a mechanical engineer with 40 yrs experience in the vehicle industry aftermarket. I list cars for friends and family. I take pride and full responsibility for my descriptions and enjoy a stellar reputation by making sure there are no surprises at delivery. I am not a dealer so there are no hidden fees, junk fees, documentation fees, scotch-guard or paint-protection up-charges, no free TV’s or Ginzu knife sets but also, no suspenseful consultations with “the sales manager” (that’s me)! I tell you about the car, you buy it, I give you the car and title. Way too simple but that’s how I do it. Of course, we all know by now that any used car including this one may or may not do what you or I or anybody expect it to do and is sold as-is where-is with no warrantees expressed or implied. I welcome independent inspections at bidders expense or ask away and I’ll get back to you promptly. 190k miles, accident-free, 2 owner well-stored and maintained 430 needing some work. Great drive-it-home parts car or mechanic’s fixer-upper. § Clean car-fax § no apparent body or paint repairs observed or reported § Paint showing some weariness, needs some attention (described below) § Engine starts right up, runs great, transmission shifts fine with no slipping or hesitations § Cruise, A/C, power windows, sun roof, keyless entry--all the expected MB goodies § Deluxe radio with Nav and Phone function (need CD for Nav function) § Solid quiet brakes, no leaks or unusual noises § Underside is clean with no obvious issues § Most accessories and electrical equipment works (mirrors, seats, seat heaters, sunroof, latches and releases (not sure if the tailgate is supposed to pop open but the handle works fine) But wait, there’s more! ü Good set of Michelins on OE alloy wheels on the car (275 55 R17) plus space saver spare ü 4 very good Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S (265 65 R17) mounted on 17” Ronal rims ü 4 Chrome Ronal 17” rims (8Jx17H2 ET52) with chrome lugs not shown in picture but included in auction ü 2 floor mat sets--carpet and rubber (MB model-specific) winter floor mats ü Current on Ohio e-check ü No check engine lights But wait, there are a few issues! Suspension needs attention, feels like a front strut has given it up. The SRS light is illuminated (air bag sensor or seat belt tensioner problem). The A/C is not blowing cold—no diagnosed component problem but at minimum needs a leak test and a recharge. The right side front door lock has an occasional stuttering attack—usually occurs at start-up when the computer locks the doors automatically. Does not affect function of the door or lock. There are rust spots popping out. Door sill, spot on one door and door bottom are all showing surface rust. A few other spots show some blistering but have not popped through. None of the rust spots are through the metal and even the door bottom area is solid metal but obviously will need at least local clean up and re-paint. Interior is not exactly a hospital clean room but not terrible either. A few spots where the carpet took a spill but no rips or tears. I did not try to remove stains from the carpet so a good detailing might get it sorted out. The leather is pretty nice with only the driver’s seat showing wear and age cracking—see photo.
