1979 Honda CBX1000 If you're looking at this auction, then you probably already know what this is. The full power, original, Honda CBX 1000cc Six Cylinder Superbike. This is a nice original bike, with most of the original fasteners and parts to enable the entusiast to enjoy CBX's with a solid starting bike. This bike does run, is as it came out of storage, rear brake does not work, battery does not hold a charge for long, so minor recomissioning required but the motor is quiet and functions well. One of the mufflers has holes drilled in the end as seen in the pics, please review pictures carefully as this is the current condition of the machine. Some minor scrapes and marks, evidence of a repair on the cam box cover but no broken fins on the engine. Damage consitent with poor storage. Rare to find one of these machines in such original condition, and general appearance appear to support the mileage indicated on the instrument cluster. One of the exhaust has a slight dent, the helmet lock is missing, and the carbs could do with a balance and perhaps cleaning. This bike was listed by me before and sold locally, however the new local owner asked me to re-list as the bike is too heavy for him. I would like to see this machine go to an enthusiastic new owner who will enjoy and ride this bike for many more years.
