This Sprite is an original rust-free California car and still retains its original CA Black & Yellow license plates which are registered to the car. It has 79k miles and I am the third owner. It has been an absolute joy to own and is a blast to drive while getting thumbs-up wherever you go!This Sprite has been meticulously maintained and cared for. It just recently received a face lift and was professionally repainted. The body is laser straight with excellent gaps and panel fitment. This early Mk II Sprite doesn’t have exterior door handles which really contributes to the nice clean body lines. No rust, accidents or damage. The chrome and bright work are all in great condition with no signs of pitting or rust. As a result it starts up effortlessly thanks to new electronic ignition. Other work done includes new radiator, thermostat, K&N air filter, new hoses and gaskets, etc. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts through all gears smoothly and effortlessly and is a pleasure to drive.Cosmetically the car, aside from the new repaint, is still in very nice original condition. The seats are black vinyl with white piping and in good condition. Black carpeting with new rubber floor mats. The soft top is the original black vinyl top and is in decent condition. There are a few areas that have been patched up but considering the age it is in good condition, looks presentable and doesn't leak. The soft top bows are also in great condition and operate just as they should. The original side curtains are in great condition with functional plastic sliding windows. Also included is a full tonneau cover also in good condition. This Sprites look is finished off with a set of new 13x5 Minilite style wheels wrapped in new Warrior tires which really give it that classic sporty look. If these wheels aren’t quite your taste, the original wheels and hubcaps also come with the car.
