I am listing my 1972 corvette stingray project. I've been nickle and dime'n this project for a couple years. I am going to describe this as a project because it needs tweeks. The car is fresh rebuild on motor and front suspension with the need of ironing out the little head aches. This is a handy man special. If you can see the value here, you'll have a fully rebuilt car for half price. I have all the receipts. This car is 90%. It runs and drives but needs 100 point inspection by a good mechanic to fix all little issues that happen with a restoration of this magnitude. I have run out of gas on the project because I can't use it. I have three children and they pull me in all directions and a two seater muscle car doesn't fit into my life. I am honestly looking for something with a back seat and you turn the key and go. I will entertain all trades. I would love 13K cash but I'm realistic. In this market anything over 10K spends well. Trades should be nice. I would consider mustangs, camaros, firebirds, gto, lemans, nova, chevelle, dart, duster, etc. I am a horse trader and I like everything. I think I price things right. This is the cheapest 1972 corvette on Ebay. I got the car from a barn in Allentown. The whole car was complete and numbers matching. I took the car completely apart and refinished or rebuilt every piece except the rear end, half shafts,trailing arms and rear leaf spring. The front suspension is all new. All new stainless calipers. Front end is completely detailed all parts painted and clean. I pulled the original 350 and had it rebuilt and stroked with a 400 crank and .030 over. I have all original components but replaced cam, crank, heads and intake with carb. Where I went wrong was adding bling. Every chrome part has been battling me and I've run out of ambition to fight. The chrome timing cover and oil pan have small leak. I've had it apart twice and can't get it. I would throw all chrome in the garbage and buy gm replacement parts. The interior of the car is all new and refurbished. I need one t-top cover on passenger side and I need seat belts. The electrical is working but brake lights and turn signals need trouble shooting. The car fires right up and runs and drives on lot. I am listing as project because I have not had this car on a trip. I have driven it to work and taken it to local shows but never long distance. This car has maybe 40 miles since rebuild. IT MUST BE TRAILERED. The car has a weird vibration at 40 miles/hr. I put all new u joints on front shaft....I'm thinking the old tires or maybe drive shaft needs balancing or something in trailing arm assy. The motor is balanced and flywheel had been balanced but m21 and drive shaft have not been. I am not a pro restoration guy. I know enough to be dangerous. I tinker and learn on the fly. This car needs an old school mechanic to give it a going over. My dad was that guy for me, but he's gone. He knew what parts interchanged from every car. He could drive a car and tell you every little thing wrong with the car. He got me into the love of cars but you need an old timer these days to trouble shoot. The auto parts stores are no help any more. I made this car to look like a motion car. I love the look of the Baldwin Motion Vettes and the 1 0f 1 ZL1 1969 vette. I almost added the zl1 hood stripe but didn't. This is painted in original sunflower yellow with black interior. The interior is supposed to be dark saddle but I changed it to black.
