Vehicle Detail
I am reluctantly selling this beautiful 1995 Acura Legend GS Sedan. The GS model is unlike 99% of the Acura Legends on the road today. It has the rare Type II V-6 engine, which produces 230 HP and pushes this car up to speed in a hurry. This car has 150,000 highway miles (these vehicles typically run for 300,000 miles or more). It has been maintained regularly and has never been in an accident (the Carfax report is available). There are no funny noises or vibrations. It runs and drives perfectly and the climate control A/C blows ice cold. Belts were replaced recently and the engine on this vehicle should require little more than oil changes for the next 100,000+ miles. The body is also in excellent condition, showing no signs of rust. The engine is super clean and the exterior sports a fresh coat of black paint. As you might expect of a 1995 model, there are a few cosmetic and maintenance issues to consider:The interior passenger side door handle is broken. The door still opens no problem. There are a few places where the leather seats are cracked (two seat covers are included)The brake pads need to be replacedTwo tires will need to be replaced soon (the other two are brand new)Equipment:Type II 3.2 V-6 230 HP engine4-wheel anti-lock breaking systemDual front airbagsAlpine CD / MP3 player6 disk changer in the trunkPower memory seatsPower steering wheel adjustmentPower windows and moonroofSecurity systemCruise controlRear reading lightsSecurity systemMore pictures are available if you're interested. The GS model is unlike 99% of the Acura Legends on the road today. It has the rare Type II V-6 engine, which produces 230 HP and pushes this car up to speed in a hurry. This car has 152,000 highway miles (these vehicles typically run for 300,000 miles or more). It has been maintained regularly and has never been in an accident (the Carfax report is available). There are no funny noises or vibrations. The door still opens no problem. There are a few places where the leather seats are cracked (two seat covers are included). SEE PICTURES. I got an estimate for replacement of the seats front and back in leather ($1200) or just to repair the damaged panels in vinyl ($500) Three tires need to be replaced within the next few thousand miles (one tire is brand new). Estimate from Firestone: $350 The timing belt is starting to crack. On these cars, you can't wait for it to go out, or it could damage the valves. It could last another 5,000 miles or it could go out tomorrow, so that will need to be replaced. I have a quote for the full timing belt service: $980The brakes were serviced recently and the pads and rotors are fine. However, the ABS pump motor recently failed. It is prohibitively expensive to make this repair (around $2400). However, there is no loss of braking power or effectiveness, just no anti-lock feature. The transmission mount is cracked. This is a rubber piece that helps the car shift smoother. It causes no damage to the transmission or engine to leave it as it is. It won't shift like a Cadillac if it is replaced (these cars are all head-jerkers when it shifts into second) but it will shift smoother.
