1973 Mercury Cougar Convertible XR7. 351 W. I have owned this car for 5 years, drove it on Sunday. It came from California, so there is minimal rust if any. recent improvements are the following; New convertible top, new dual exhaust, new battery and cables, four new headlights, new alternator, did a complete tune up one week ago. The tires are a few years old ,but new..... Only 2000 miles on them. This car has been driven very little in the last 5 years, mostly kept in the garage. It rides well with the exception of a slight shimmy at 50, probably due too lack of driving and use of the tires. The paint has a few flaws which can be remedied. I have indicated in the photos. The interior is in good condition, the main wear is in the drivers seat, and gear shifter could stand to be replaced, but functions fine. It also needs a new turn signal stick, as it broke, but still works fine as is. There were very few of these Cats produced, it turns heads, and is fun to put the top down and take a ride to anywhere. The original FM stereo is intact. There is A/C, but honestly, I never use it.
