Vehicle Detail

HELLO CLASSIC CAR COLLECTORS! HERE IS A RARE ESTATE FIND, LITERALLY FROM A CONNECTICUT BARN! - 1929 BUICK 29-20 2 DOOR COUPE/SEDAN EXCELLENT & smooth RUNNING ENGINE, incredibly SOLID BODY, A truly nice "DRIVER". Original front folding "BUCKET SEATS"! IT HAS BEEN CLEANED & MECHANIC HAS SPENT WEEKS DOING THE MAINTAINANCE. Beautiful dash with everything lighting up! Excellent guages =40+lbs oil presure; Exc. charging; Exc temperature even after many laps driven around the neighborhood! The 1929 BUICK was considered a higher end Luxury car in it's time! It sported the large 6 cylinder ending and was capable of doing laps around many other cars at the time including the little Ford 4 cylinders! After Cadillac & Lincoln the Buick was the next level of luxury at the time, on par with Chrysler or Lasalle and certainly better appointed than Marquette, Pontiac,Oakland,Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth or Ford! You can see that it was a luxury car, every aspect is of fine quality that is why after 83 years it is still driveable and on the road! While it is far from mint condition and can be restored if wished, it can certainly be used as is and would be considered presentable as a driver, warts & all! But she is certainly very solid! Unusally, the Front windshield cranks up to open from the bottom! The running boards have held a 250+lb man with no flex! The drivers inside handle stopped opening a few days ago, so I opened door from outer handle. Glass is all exc. & clear! Seats are as you can see original mohair and tired but I think ok for driving around, the back seat really needs reupholstry BUT, it is still very comfortable to sit on now, it feels like you are in a limo when sitting back there! So roomy inside. Previous owner had new headliner and top put on. Have original crank & tire iron as well as all original manuals. Tires are good Lesters for driver but are oldies. All light work well including the cowl lights & tail light, even has back up light feature. Chrome needs to be redone or use it as is. Excellent solid wooden wheels. Exc. wooden window frames. Exc wooden steering wheel. Carpet exc. Brakes are exc. It starts reliably every time, runs smoothly, not a puff of smoke-exhaust is so clean! Just 56,520 Original miles! The car is very fast for its day, with the large Buick 6 cylinder- when I was in 3rd gear and stepped down on the gas pedal and the car really takes off! New elec, fuel pump, full tune up (w/all new parts)& valve adjustment, brakes all adjusted, all lights and electrical checked and adjusted, a fine maintance was done recently by a fine old timer mechanic! There are certainly many things one can do to improve this car and although it has so many positive attributes, it is by no means "excellent" overall or a museum car, it is a very nice driver recently out of a long storage! Please see all 50 large, clear photos, they show the car well, because I do understand that not everyone can travel to the car. I always recommend that potential buyers come to see the car in person or send a representative (if possible) as I am selling the car AS-IS, WHERE IS, it is 83 years old and certainly in very good solid shape. I see no reason that you could not get in and drive it home locally or a short distance, but I will assist you with transport arrangements if you are long distance. Vehicle is from Connecticut (a "Non-Title" state) thus it comes with an OFFICIAL CONNECTICUT STATE BILL OF SALE & Official Letter of CT. regulations, based on previous experience and knowledge- it is Acceptable in all other States because that is how Connecticut legally transfers ownership of classic/antique vehicles.. Deposit required(non-refundable) via Paypal within 24hrs, balance paid in full via bank check or bank transfer within 7 days. Please arrange pickup to be within 1 or 2 weeks; less if possible, I really need the space asap because of we have beach season parking restrictions (I am literally parking on my lawn this weekend!). Well that is all that I can think of for now- PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL WITH ANY & ALL QUESTIONS (I'll check my email once a day to look for any questions or if someone does the BUY IT NOW! If requested, I'll email my telephone # to you, or call you (if you email your tele#), if you need to speak by phone with further questions). I have now, as I have done in the past, made an effort to price it below what others ask, you can see from my 100% excellent feedback and 13 years on ebay that you can bid with confidence! My BUY IT NOW IS VERY GOOD BUY! It is a VERY RARE CAR! Everyone stares and loves this car, girls, guys old & young they all have complimented this car! Everyone stops to talk about it! I have given all of my neighbors rides! I honestly think that the buyer will love the car and a have a great time driving it! It is very fast for 83 year old car with Buick's big 6 engine! AUCTION ESTIMATE: $12,000-$14,000 (The nicest 1929 Buicks offered recently offered were a 4 door which sold for $11,500 and now a roadster for $35,000. My reserve price is lower than the Buy it Now. I have always been very fair with pricing so, the Buick will absolutely be sold, if you like it and have the funds ready to make the deal, then don't risk losing it- use the BUY IT NOW! Original owners manual, (2) shop manuals, original Marvel carburator & RARE original sales literature & car cover included. This Buick is fun to drive! It's very rare, and a much better quality car, so much faster than those common Fords! Part of the proceeds will go to help The Humane Society. Thank you!
