Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. Here we have an all original 1978 CB400Tll with extremely low miles (1865) and in very nice shape for being 33 years old. I have loads of documentation confirming the very low mileage and the original title with the envelope from DMV dated August 25, 1978. The 78' Hawk Tll came with Comstar wheels and had both a tach and Speedo and was a little bit more expensive than the regular Tl which was also available in 78'. Included in this auction is all the documentation which consits of the original sales reciept from the Honda dealer dated June 10, 1978, a warranty booklet, a letter from Honda congratulating the new owner of his purchase, the original owners manual, 2 service receipts one of them showing 1731 miles in 1994 (see pics). The original tool kit is also included and it stored under the seat. I acquired this bike from the original owner who didn't ride it much and had it stored in his garage for many years. The bike is all original and in very nice condition, the seat looks great with absolutely no imperfections or defects, the fenders do show some mild surface rust on the edges and so does the frame but nothing critical or very noticable. The exhaust pipes are in very nice condition with no rust or holes. The left muffler has a small ding just below the passenger footpeg The original owner lost his house and had to store it outdoors covered under a carport for a year. When I got it I had carbs rebuilt and synchronized and also had the front brakes redone. The front brakes got a new Master cylinder rebuild and Caliper rebuild kit. The tank looks brand new inside with no rust and on the outside it has a couple of small paint chips and one very tiny ding on the top right rear proximal to the seat. I also had the lower fork tubes and the engine covers polished and clearcoated as it was from factory. From the reciepts I have the tires have less than 100 miles but they should be replaced if the new owner plans on riding since they do have some cracking. The tank and side covers are not repainted they are the original Saphire blue only available in 1978. Since I had this work done all the fluids from the tank, carbs, and brakes were drained and flushed to preserve them. Again, if the new owner plans on riding it they will need to add brake fluid and bleed the lines. Please ask questions prior to bidding. This is a solid investment since these bikes are only going up in value and they will never depriciate especially with the very low miles that this one has and all it's documentation.
