This car is completely original and museum quality. This car is ideal for any collection. It's an unrestored example that has won many preservation awards. It's a motorcar that has been meticulously maintained. The current owner has owned it since 2002. It recently has had an oil service and the belt service was performed 3,000 miles ago. Everything in this car is original. It even has the original tires. This car is not for a typical 308 owner. This is the perfect car for the collector who is after preservation, originality, and quality. Driving this car is an absolute pleasure. It is fast, smooth, and very tight. Not a squeak or rattle anywhere. It's a pleasure to drive and experience. The 308 GTB offered here is arguably one of – if not the finest – original examples in existence. There is perhaps no better proof of that statement than in the paint. Ferrari paint was not perfect in the late 1970’s and there was hazing in it. Many of these cars were repainted under warranty. This one was not. It has the original paint and its patina shows. In the photos, we show the hazing. It is only visible under certain lights. In the sunlight, the hazing is barley visible. The original tires (Michelin XWX) are still on the car. The spare tire has never been on the ground and even has its original sticker on it. It comes complete with the original books, manuals, and tools. The original rear license plate frame is still on the car. Some of the accessories are now impossible to find and unheard of in this condition. Its level of perfection and originality was also the opinion of the knowledgeable judges from the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic, who opted to award this 308 with the 1st place Platinum Award. In addition to the First in Class award, it also earned the prestigious Preservation Cup for best original Ferrari from 1976-1987. This 308 was also the recipient of the coveted Coppa Meccanica award. Originally a Texas car, its current Florida owner has maintained and cared for the car with exceptional consideration. Showing just over 13,000 miles from new, the Ferrari shows only minor wear from minimal use. This 308 runs, drives, and operates as new without worry. It is complete with documentation and manuals and serviced by Ferrari expert Tim Stanford. One of the most appealing features about this 308; besides overall condition, is that it is in an attractive and rare color combination. The Argento Silver with Black and Blue leather is rarely seen on 308’s and never in this type of condition. Only 13 have ever been made. Its current Palm Beach, Florida owner is the Chief Judge at Cavallino Sports Classic at Mar A Lago and is on the executive committee of the Boca Raton Concours and Chef Judge at Festivals of Speed and involved with many car clubs.
