Vehicle Detail
1967 Eldorado Fleetwood Eldorado coupe Doeskin brown with cream interior 429ci 7.0L V8 57,7xx original miles - vehicle's condition is in harmony with the mileage. APPEARS MOSTLY, IF NOT ALL, ORGINIAL. Current owner since 9/9/1999. Appraised the next day for $12,500 by Charles Schmitt & Co. of St. Louis. VIN H7173267 Front-wheel drive (platform shared with Olds Toronado of same year) Paint, chrome and interior are all in good to very good condition Engine bay is in very good condition. Power windows work Power headlamp covers work but are intermittent due to cracked vacuum lines. Suspension feels tight - no oddities when I drove it. Some stock data (we don't feel it has ever been molested): V8 overhead valves Cast iron block Displacement: 429 cubic inches Bore and stroke: 4.13 x 4.00 inches Compression ratio: 10.5:1 Brake horsepower: 340 @ 4600 rpm Five main bearings Hydraulic valve lifters Carburetor: Rochester four-barrel type, model 7026030Wheelbase: 120"Overall length: 221" (18½ FEET!!!) Rear axle ratio: 2.94:1 Transmission: three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic Tires: 9.00 x 15 Front Tread: 63.5 Rear Tread: 63.0A/C needs to be charged. Tires are aged and should be replaced, but still look good. Trim on both quarters needs to be reattached. Horn does not currently work (it is a very simple circuit). Numerous vacuum hoses need replacement. Headlight doors do work, but are intermittent solely because one of the vacuum hoses at the firewall is cracked. These are extremely simple fixes. Car feels like she needs hi-test because I put 87 in a bit ago and there was some knocking and dieseling. I added an octane booster until the next fill-up. Please email me with questions of if you need more specific pics. NEW DETAILS as of Monday, 5/9/11 6:30PM CT: -The radio is the stereo model. The power antenna is intermittent. -The fender/door/quarter trim molding was attached with adhesive, not screwed/drilled in. It has been there for a long time and would still take some work to remove, but it would be better than filling holes! $750 deposit due immediately upon auction end. Full payment is expected within 7 calendar days of the ending time or she will be relisted. If you need a bit longer, we can work with you. SELLER ADVISES ALL POTENTIAL BIDDERS TO VISIT THIS ELDOG IN PERSON BEFORE BIDDING. She is located in zip 63118 - email me for the exact address if you plan to come by. There can be no excuses for backing out of the sale - I have perfect feedback and want to keep it that way.Vehicle is sold AS IS. Seller makes ZERO guarantees about the vehicle and provides no warranties. I have described the car as best as possible; I am not a mechanic and certainly not an Eldorado enthusiast. If you have doubts about anything, please do not bid and ask questions later. Remember, since this is a no reserve auction, a bid is a binding contract; backing out only creates sour feelings and upsets people, so please keep this in mind.Buyer must pick-up or arrange shipping for the Eldorado no more than 30 days after the sale - we are a small shop and cannot store this for longer. She is stored in a barbed-wire fenced-in yard in the city. The car is in great running condition and can be driven out of STL just fine. In addition, to answer questions about the ease of vacuum hose repairs needed, I do not have access to the vehicle at the moment due to my work schedule. All that needs to be done is measuring the ID of each hose and getting about 15' of that hose for the headlights and various vacuum hoses. Easy. The intern at the shop was tasked to do this in April and it has not been done. Again, I personally have not done this. None of the hoses affect the drivability of the car. Someone asked if it has twilight sentinel and auto-dimming headlights and also if the power windows and antenna work. I am not sure on the first two (the lights just turn on when the knob is pulled...) and the power windows worked fine when I drove it early mid-May. The power antenna is intermittent, but I have seen it work on more than one of the 3-4 times I've driven it - not 100% sure it works 100% of the time.
