Vehicle Detail
96 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series Up For auction is my Town Car. This vehicle was originally a Florida car and was brought up here later on.Just got another car and no longer need it. I have put a lot of parts into this to keep it top notch and in Perfect running condition. Its Emerald Green with a light Grey interior. The interior is cloth and in really good shape with no tears, rips or burns. The seats could use a little cleaning due to water stains from drinks in the car. I will have the car detailed before sold and will do my best to have it looking Brand New. Everything in the car functions as it should. A/c Blows Ice Cold and heat works perfect. Radio works and display shows perfect. Even the tape deck still works. Car comes with power windows, power locks with a key fob and keyless entry on the door, i do have the code and can tell you how to change it also. No check engine light on And doesn't miss a beat. Has plenty of power and pulls hard at any speed. I have installed a set of Bi xenon HID lights for the headlamps for better visibility for night time driving. The tires have plenty of life left and i have a set of snow tires also that will be included with the sale. The brakes still have plenty of life left also. Now for the parts list. I installed a drivers front window regulator that has a lifetime warranty on it. I Just had the front windshield replaced due to wind noise(driving me crazy on the highway) Has brand new shocks in the rear and the Air suspension has been completely replaced from compressor to the Bags. The bags were the only parts not changed. Has OEM Plug wires along with a new right side cylinder head from Ford and all the gaskets were OEM also. ( i work for Ford so it was easier to go OEM) Both Head gaskets were replaced when the right head was replaced along with the valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, Exhaust manifold gasket on so on. Has new idler puller, tensioner and belt along with both outer tie rods and the pitman arm. While that was done also had a 4 wheel alignment. The Intake manifold was replaced with the revised one being the originals use to crack in the front and overheat engines and/or blow them up. I've been changing the oil every 3K miles. Has New coolant along with transmission fluid and filter all using OEM parts and Fluids. I replaced all the lines that were starting to rot to avoid a line breaking and coated the lines with undercoating from Ford. I know there's more but you get the idea. Car runs Great and rides awesome. You can see in the pictures it was taken care of pretty good. Obviously your going to have your things here and there due to the age. Only bad thing i can really think about is the left side mirror had a crack in it but still can see. I am putting a picture of the Hood at the very top by the window where the paint from age starting to bubble up and peeled off. I did put green paint there so it would not rust or rot out. Doesn't really match but i'de rather not have holes in the hood. The miles on it now are mainly highway. I get 28MPG on the highway also. Not bad for a big V8 especially when back in 96 there aim was not towards Fuel economy. Get better MPG than the new F150. Also a little insight these motors are known to get well over 350K miles on them. This motor was one of the toughest and maintenance free that was produced by Ford.I do go around town once in a while but i drive 1 hour each way to work on highways. Hope i have included enough information. If any questions feel free to ask. Matthew J On Jun-05-11 at 13:33:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Just an update. Had the cars interior fully detailed. Can say it looks almost new. Also the battery dies on me this week and i installed a Motorcraft battery in there so no worries on the next owner. I did check the charging system also while doing this and everything is 100% good.
