Vehicle Detail

1992 Dodge D-250 LE 5.9l 12v Cummins Intercooled Turbo Diesel Pickup. Standard Cab, 8' Box with Snugtop Rebel Fiberglass Cap. 2WD with 4 Speed Automatic (electronic overdrive). I am the second owner, I purchased this truck four years ago from the estate of the original owner in Missouri. The motor is unmodified and 100% original. It has 139,000 miles and shifts well and runs strong. I had intended to keep and drive this vehicle for much longer, however it was just sideswiped on the passenger side and I'm not inclined to undertake what is necessary to fix it. Therefore I'm offering it up for auction with NO RESERVE. When I first got this truck, I replaced all four springs so it sits properly and doesn't sag like other diesel trucks of this vintage. 10,000 miles ago the master cylinder, upper control arms, lower ball joints, and all tie rods were replaced. About 1,00 miles ago, the drums, rotors, wheel cylinders, calipers, shoes, and pads were all replaced as well as the upper ball joints, idler arm, center link, and the two front tires (the two rears are about 60%) . At the same time I replaced the steering gear box and the steering shaft coupling with a grease-able u-joint that eliminates the steering wheel slop that older Dodge trucks are known for. The dual batteries are about two years old. I just replaced the u-joints and changed the oil. What is wrong besides the sheet metal damage obvious from the pictures? The paint is original and is peeling which is typical for Dodges of this era. Some areas of peeling have begun to surface rust. The only beginnings of rust through is the drip rail above the drivers side front windshield. Clear-coat on top of the fiberglass cap is mostly pealed off. The undercarriage and inside the bed have no issues and are in very good condition. The front bumper got ruined (twisted) when someone pulled me out of a snow bank last winter. I still have all the mounting hardware, bumper guards and black vinyl cushions. The fuel gauge reads empty well before the 30 gallon tank actually is. The low fuel light works and I just use that to monitor when I need to fill up. Power door locks work, however the driver's side switch does not. Driver's side padded door handle is coming apart and the driver's side seat shows signs of wear. All the glass is good, no cracks or chips, including the windows in the fiberglass cap. Cold A/C. AM/FM/CD with XM radio. I drove this truck from Missouri back home to Michigan four years ago and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country today.
