** $1000 NO RESERVE HIGHEST BIDDER WINS!, ITS THAT SIMPLE :) YOU GUYS SET THE PRICE! Hello! If you are on this page, I would imagine that you are hoping to find a decent W124 Mercedes in good condition for an agreeable price :) Well I think you might be in luck! Have you ever wondered why a lot of people sell cars that are just shy of the 100k mile mark? Well with this vehicle I found out lol!! When i spotted this vehicle in NewYork, I could tell it was a nice Benz and I got to discover that a lot of things save fluid changes had been left untouched. It is a true original. The first issue I had to tackle was the dreaded ASR warning light and of-course no one wants to deal with that... Good news for you guys, being the thorough Automotive technician that I am learning to be I performed very detailed diagnosis and as a result changed the following items: Brake light switch Neutral safety switch Over-voltage protection relay and finally the Electronic throttle body! That fixed the ASR problem. Also knowing that the W124's between 94 and 95 model years had wiring harness issues, i proceeded to investigate the cause of a rough idle and engine miss and found that the wiring harness was degraded to the point that the car was triggering multiple incoherent fault codes! I replaced the original Engine Wiring harness with a newer one made in 2004. You can see the white tag in the picture below that includes the battery. I also replaced two of the three Ignition coils as their resistance readings were too high and terribly out of spec. The third one had been replaced prior to me acquiring the car and I tested it and verified it to be within spec. All 6 spark plugs have been replaced with brand new OE spec Bosch plugs. The spark plugs that were in there were the ones from the factory, it even had the Mercedes symbol on it! The coolant system has been flushed, thermostat replaced, coolant temp sensor(gauge) replaced. This car WILL NOT overheat. I have verified the fans to kick in when they should and lower the temp to where it should be. It has an 87 deg C thermostat installed which is according to spec. Suspension wise I replaced the left rear sway bar link. The rear shocks are pretty new, they must have been replaced shortly before I bought it. Front suspension is in pretty good shape, no broken/ worn bushings. The only thing I believe might need to be done at some point soon is the shocks. Its not that they are bad but they are the original shocks except the left one which has been replaced with a used one... However with my experience driving and fixing MB cars, you never really know how bad the shocks are till you change them and then you realize how much you've been missing out on!! Oh and don't forget to change the mounts along with it and the strut bearings:) This car for some reason came with 17inch MB wheels from a 2003 clk. The rims are decent but a little rough in my opinion... So Included with this car will be 4 authentic MB 8 hole rims which should have been on the car in the first place. The tires have a lot of tread life left and the tire size is 245/45/17 Z rated tire. The dealer I purchased the car from told me that he got it with 4 different style rims on it lol! so that's why he put those 17's on Brake pads for the front have being replaced and I resurfaced the front rotors. There is no pulsation when braking and the Rotors are almost as thick as new! The rear pads are thick and included in the sale is a set of rear pads for whenever the new owner would need it. Brake Fluid has also been changed and the system bled. As for Climate control, I diagnosed a low fan speed and replaced the blower regulator with one known to work. I evacuated the A/C system, checked for leaks and put the correct amount of refrigerant, 2.13lbs of R134a, into the system (even though the A/C cooled just fine when I bought it, like I said, I like to be thorough). It is also important for the potential buyer to know that the system has no leak sealant in it. Leak sealant can make short work of an A/C system, think of rock/sand particles in the A/C lines and I believe you get the idea. So that means no cheap cans of refrigerant have been added. ATF replaced and filled to the correct point. This will keep that trans operating in top shape, and there's no such thing as lifetime fluid so please don't be fooled :) The interior is in pretty good shape. It has the original radio which works and a 10CD changer in the trunk that works good. heated seats in the front which are rare on a lot of E320's out there. The matching blue leather has no rips or tears which is consistent with the cars low mileage. Power windows work. Central lock doesn't work, I suspect the pump under the seat might be bad. anyways you can get right here on eBay for about $40. I just haven't had the time to get around to that. In conclusion, You will be getting a great car that has plenty of life in it, good low mileage and most importantly is up to date as far as maintenance is concerned. My name is Philip and I am an a Mercedes-Benz Enthusiast and I am halfway through my Automotive service tech degree. I have been working on European vehicles for 4 years now and I aim to specialize in Mercedes-Benz. I believe my starting price in incredibly reasonable considering the painstaking effort to bring this car up to excellent operating condition. I originally intended this car for my "special someone" however since she has been driving an S class, she felt it too small for her, I don't blame her lol! This car will get close to 40mpg (i recorded 37.5 mpg) driving at 55mph. It has the indestructible M104 inline Six so you are good to go. This Car was made when MB's quality was considered Bank-vault. I have put about 5000 miles on this car since i bought it and that included driving it from NY via NC back to ND ( i know lol a lotta N's there).it had 1053xx miles when i got it. So you can be sure it has been tested. . I will personally deliver within 250miles of my zip. Further distances can be arranged for a little extra. Vehicle will be cleaned on the inside washed and waxed on the outside before pick up/ delivery. if bid goes above $4300 i will throw in a brand new set of matching floor mats (not rubber all weather) for the new owner *** Note about the paint on this vehicle, the original vehicle color was light blue but the previous owner painted it dark blue for some reason. while the paint is not exactly "pimp my ride" quality, it does shine good when cleaned and wax. there is also a little wavy dent on the left rear quarter panel, someone must have tried to pop out a dent or something. either way it doesn't affect the eye catching appearance of the vehicle. I just want to make sure there are no surprises in good faith. For questions, concerns, and potential offers call my direct line: 7015520881 and lets deal
