Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1957 Chevrolet Belair 2 Door Post. Clear open title. Great start for a hard to find car. I bought this car about 2 months ago with the intentions of restoring it. I just received deployment orders and do not want to pay to store it while over seas. I started buying up small things to fix the car up but am just looking to get what I purchased it for. The car has a 350 small block with a 4 speed Muncie trans. Aluminum radiator and edelbrock intake manifold. It looks like the previace owner had started the restoration but also never finished. The wire harness for the car is installed. nothing but the ignition is hooked up. The engine runs but after I changed the radiator it started leaking oil. Either the valve or head gasket. The floor pans have been replaced along with the trunk pans. All the glass in the car is good except the passenger window is cracked and there’re no vent windows. All windows go up and down but are stiff and could use some lubricant. The paint is over 15 years old but still looks driver quality. The body is good with little to no rust. Minor dents and dings that go with a 53 year old car. The majority of the interior is there minus the carpet and head liner. It has black leather bucket seats up front but I have no idea what they came out of. The back seat is there but need re-done. All the original chrome for the exterior is there but has repairable minor dents and dings. I have two rear bumpers that combined make one salvageable bumper. The frame is straight, solid and the bushings are good. Stock drum brakes. I also have the original radiator for the car if you are interested. There are some pictures of all the extra parts going with the car. I've tried to be as honest and straight forward with this listing a possible. Telling you not only the good but the bad as well. The car is solid and will make a great resto project. I've come down a whole lot on the price. Even the buy it now price is under what I paid for the car. The reserve is way low and this is the third time I ve listed it and I MUST sell!On May-26-11 at 19:01:49 PDT, seller added the following information:The reserve on the 57 Chevy has been met! Bid bid bid! The car must go!
