Vehicle Detail

This is a 1997 BMW Z3 with a 190 HP, 2.8 liter inline 6 engine, the same engine found in the 328 and 528 models. This is an Arizona car with absolutely no rust. I am an electrical engineer, and I am meticulous when it comes to maintenance. I am selling this car because I am relocating to northern Nevada; there is way too much snow for this car. I bought this car from the second owner at around 95000 miles, and have used only Mobil 1. I changed the oil every 3500 miles. The fluids in the transmission, rear end and brakes have all been replaced recently. I have kept all records of service performed since I have owned the car. I will turn those over to the new owner. I have replaced the rear shocks and important cooling system components, including the water pump. The convertible top was new when I bought the car and is still in excellent condition. The real window is clear and not scratched, since I only put the top down when the rear window was absolutely clean. I also bought a special pad to protect the window when the top is down. The pad will be included in the sale. Though it is not shown, I also have the convertible boot that covers the top when it is down. The interior is in pretty good shaped and has never been smoked in. The tires are in reasonable condition, with about 50% wear. I bought a Strong Strut brace for the front struts (see the pictures), in addition to the Strong Strut brace for the rear (the total cost was over $700). These braces made an amazing difference, as they took the flex out of the body. Changing lanes and executing turns is a real pleasure in this car. The engine runs very well. It seems that that is more than 190HP is available. I always tried to keep the engine revs between 3000 and 3500 RPM, so as to not lug the engine. The air conditioner blows cold. I also have two repair manuals (Haynes and Clymers) that will go with the car. There are three issues with the car, though I consider them to be minor. There is a gasket in the engine that needs to be replaced, and it drips some oil. The BMW dealer told me it would be about $250 to repair, but I have run out of time. The stereo, which is a pretty nice Kenwood, does not work. Honestly, I never missed it, so I never bothered to fix it. The remote locking key fob does not work. I hope I have caught everything. If you have questions, please send me an email. A $500 deposit is required via PayPal from the winning bidder at the end of the auction. Though I believe that the vehicle is in excellent condition, there is no warranty either expressed or implied, and the vehicle is sold “As is”. The vehicle is being advertised locally and I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time. On May-30-11 at 08:32:49 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: I was out of town when I placed this listing, and it turns out that I got the mileage wrong by a little bit. I estimated that it was around 112000, but it is exactly 114174. If you have already placed your bid, I will take $100 off the final purchase price to compensate for my error. Again, my apologies.
